He wasn't any better than Scottie Pippen. Nikkas in here talkin about he was Lebron, arguably the most gifted basketball player anyone has ever seen. You cats take hyperbole to a whole other dimension.

Funny how niccas dismiss Pippen cause he played with MJ right??? Dude won 50 games without MJ. and niccas have conveniently erased that shyt from their memory :lolbron:

they even forget Pippen being a better defender than Jordan.

I hate how people who obviously did not watch Grant Hill play make these outlandish statements :rudy::rudy: Sidekick:leostare: the man was 3rd in MVP voting for the 97 season, led the league in triple doubles and you want to call him sidekick:stopitslime:

Breh, I Was Watching The NBA Like 5 Years Before Grant Was Even In The League, The Guy Was A Bonified All Star And Good Player, Even Injury Free I Dont Think He Would Have Been In THAT Elite Status :manny:

Jordan wouldn't of won those titles without Pippen. Straight like that. Pippen was the best secondary option ever/side kick.

We're ALL In Here Basing If Off Opinion Of What Could Have Been, So None Of Us In Here Can Said We're Right

I Personally Dont Think Grant Would Have Been In MVP Discussions For Years On End

And In This League If You Arent In Those Discussions You Arent "Elite" As A Individual Player

In his prime name 5 better players and please don't expose yourself by saying Kobe.

He was marketed very similarly to Bron in the mid 90's, he was making TV appearances, Sprite commercials, and all sorts of shyt, the problem is 2/3's of you guys were too young to see him in the early years. He was a hybrid type forward, like Scottie Pippen but with a higher ceiling (but not as good as a defender). Other thing was, he played for a bad Detroit team that dumped him after he played all those games on a bad ankle.

This is it, mayne.

Grant was like Pippen but not as good defensively - but he wasn't bad defensively, either (which underscores how good Pippen was defensively).
You could tell that post-Jordan, the league wanted Grant Hill to be The Face. He was gettin' the ads, acolades, and love. In a way, him getting hurt happened right on time to usher in for Iverson Era.

*braces for vitriol*

healthy Grant Hill
- being a good teammate
- willing to play in the post on both ends
= Kobe

Duncan was a top 5 NBA player his rookie year! He wasn't in his prime, but he sure as hell was better than Hill.

Payton is arguable.

Ok even if I give Duncan but Hill was definitely better than Gary Payton. Hill could do everything Payton did but was bigger, stronger a better slasher a more efficient shooter, a comparable passer and was ironically enough a better free throw shooter.

Shaq, Duncan, Malone, Jordan and Payton.

I only see Shaq and Jordan being clearly better in Hills prime. Timmy, Payton and Malone are arguable. I am definitely taking Hill over Payton though.:manny:

Even still non of those players played his position.

When I say he on brons level I talking about being able to pass score and rebound effectively but not as great. But I think he does everything other than score better than KD.

Grant was an all around beast who dropped triple doubles on the regular. He was a true point forward but he got his 20 every night too. The Pippen and Bron comparisons are close and they are the players most similar to him. Grant definitely was gonna be one of the top 5 to 10 players in the league in the 2000s if he didnt get hurt. He probably was already there. I know he was defintely top ten. He used to give Jordan and Pippen fits when he played them. And he could get to the rack at will and would dunk on your head if you werent careful.

So does Scottie Pippen, is he better then KD?:usure: No because KD's MASSIVE advantage as a scorer(and overall offensive threat) makes up for everything else in this comparison. What people need to realize is, the better "all around player" isn't always the best or most valuable player.

Especially when KD's all around game is very underrated. He's a good passer, been good defensively from the 2nd half of last year till now(especially man, look at the 4th quarters against Kobe in the 12' Playoffs) And a great rebounder. Plus this is with playing more off the ball then any wing player I can remember in a long time

Stop overrating pippen.Grant hill was better than pippen in everything except defense and hill never had the luxury of playin wit the Goat so what he did was more impressive

I remember a game where grant hill dropped like 38 on the bulls and he was killin pippen in the post and off the dribble and phil put mike on hill in the 4th and he was killin mike too

I don't think pip is top 50. I think Hills offense was better than pips.

KD's scoring is what 8 or 9 points better than hills though. But hill wasnt a scrub scorer. He could put up numbers also but was more all around game type.

KD just started taking defense/rebounding/assists seriously. And his scoring has dipped a little kinda how hill averaged 9 boards but his scoring dropped.

I guess I feel an all around dominating skill set is better than a scoring only and occasional rebounding and defense skill set.

I may be overrating hill a bit. But I think he's better than pip and I'm not gonna entertain comparisons to rudy gay and Paul George.
