And black people still shop at these Korean owned stores. Another reason why group economics is important.

U had bloods/crips in certain sets who would see each other face to face, but they would say :whoa: we can kill each other later and then start torching police cars

U had cops who would get calls from police choppers that so and so white person need help and the cops wouldn't come at all.... this is one reason Johnnie Cochran represented Reginald Denny when he got beat and tried to use the police for 50 million

I give the Asians credit at the time, they was fighting back to protect their property , but it wasn't enough tho

A lot of family members came home with couches, tv's, radio's, etc

:wow: bloods and crips uniting

:francis: fukk Asians, them motherfukkers always been racist towards me tbh

:wow: i respect y'all OG's in L.A., for screaming fukk the world and run L.A. for damn near a week or so, and burn that bytch to the grown cause y'all was pissed off, cause of the fukkery Amerikkka was doing.

:salute:

damn man, it must have been crazy. how old were you when it happened if you don't mind me asking ?

and this ain't related to the '92 riots but i heard from this old lady from Louisiana that said blacks who were from the South that came to L.A. in the '50's-60's were forced to stay in South L.A. and Watts and shyt. then she recalled the Watts Riots in '65 and told a story of her neighbor dying in the riots. the riots of 1965 and 1992 were basically about the same reason, racism in the communities.

like do you try to tell the young dudes in your neighborhood or just in L.A., about the riots and dealing with racism as a black male and whatnot ?

mad love to you OG, from NY :salute:
12 and tbh it aint too many young black men in the south central anymore (just memories) and the ones that are there
they don't care i guess they feel like it doesn't concern them
and yes black people were forced to stay in south central and watts
compton, long beach, and inglewood were all white suburbs until the late 70s/early 80s

koreans don't own these stores anymore Arabs do
and if you pay attention close enough the arabs are starting to silently sell those stores to the Mexicans

These are poor people without the means to travel outside of their neighborhoods and seek out Black owned only type businesses.

If that's going to change then we need to have more Black stores in our Black neighborhoods.

It'll take a whole 'nother thread to discuss THAT topic, though.

Never been scared in my life, 150 pounds and have been in some of the worst hoods in the states

When I walk outside my building and go to the store, I am worried about nikkaZ robbing me

:comeon:

Plus u conflating two different issues. You talking about crime when no crime was committed. The Korean lady *thought* she committed petty theft (which the cops wouldnt even file a report on probably), approached Latasha physically got her ass beat and killed the girl in cold blood. Much like George Zimmerman in 2016 but thats another story......

Yea the hood is the hood, but them koreans dont set up nowhere else, they there to exploit exploit exploit, and they dont put shyt back into the hood. Tempers SHOULD be hot.

In the south they own nail shops, liquor stores, hood grocery stores, wing joints, and booths at flea markets. My co-worker is black/korean, she said the new hustle is wing restaurants in the hood and her Korean side of the fam has 3 and opening up 2 more within a year.

Bruh, we been beefin this whole thread but I want to discuss this with you. A homie and I had a discussion about this a few weeks ago, how in the black neighborhood every business is either a liquor store, barbershop, bbq spot or weed shop. How do we break his mold to diversify our businesses so we can truly capture our neighborhoods?

You can put anything anywhere in any store but they can't do shyt until you head out the door. You could literally walk around Macy's with clothes stuffed in your pants just as long as you stop by the register
Are nikkas really stupid enough to teach their kids this?

Only nikkas advocating that are strictly consumers, not producers or providers.
Nikkas act like they never owned or worked a business.

Dont make life harder for the cashiers and dont make life harder for yourself. Dont act like a thief, make it so others are less likely to treat you as a thief.

Taking possession of shyt before paying is the actions of a thief. Why be in such a hurry to take possession before paying. Use a cart, go to the register, then put that shyt in your pockets, purses bags whatever.

Oh i intended to pay for this watch.

Oh i forgot this bag of fig newtons was here.

Nikkas need to stop acting like the bad guys on sone technically right shyt. Technically right will still leave you technically dead.

the blacks are starting to move to San Bernardino County and to Las Vegas
its violent but not the way the media portrays it

oh okay, do you plan on moving towards those areas too or nah ?

and my bad i'm asking hella questions lol, it's cause i like getting knowledge or just speaking to O.G.s, i think my generation needs to sometimes speak to older people to understand something, get knowledge or get guidance.
