I get her point but the circumstances is bit different. In March we wanted no one to work so you had to pay people over their current pay to stay home, right now most on both sides would like to get back to normal with job growth. I think 400 a week would have been fine.
When did Mitch McConnell not do something for them? They literally pulled up on and pressed Lindsay a month ago
Republicans ate their leader of the house when shyt wasn’t going right
Voters threw Eric Cantor in the bushes which shocked every political news agency out here
We sat and called them tea party cacs crazy but their anger and foolishness set the ground work for what they wanted (Trump and the current Republican Party)
Democratic voters move nothing like them we just complain and point fingers

quick civics reminder why congress especially the senate is WWE mixed with sigmund&freud vegas show status
Power of the Members
The decision of one senator can change the entire course of a bill in the Senate while a representative in the House cannot. In the House of Representatives, the majority members control everything, and the individuals in the minority part are disadvantaged when it comes to passing bills. In the Senate, every senator has a say in the laws being passed and for it to precede all the members must agree unanimously. A single senator can object to the legislation if he/she disagrees with the bill.
...and why both siders take no losses because we know
-med for all
-universal income
-money out of politics
-undermining greed/corruption
are just a courageous, kamikaze senator's vote/principle away from reality
we know about both sides in terms of these politicians catering to same donors/lobbyist and how they gaslight citizens via social/corporate media and their surrogates
It's time to focus on both sides in terms of shills/apologist/personality worshipers that are willing to lie/mislead/exaggerate/justify the suffering of others/amass casualties and create more problems, as long as their fav party retains power
"he/she submitted bills that were blocked by the other side"
"people are suffering now, they need help"
"can't do stand alone bills"
"don't have the votes for xyz"
...are popular talking points to deflect accountability and have been proven wrong by both the past/current actions of Manchin and the past/current inaction/media theatrics of the Democrats, the squad, and Bernie Sanders
The reason why the $2000 campaign promise lie was effective because it was a standalone bill that showed how stupid/greedy/careless Mitch is and the bill didn't offer him any porky distractions like funding oversea abortions...so why didn't the Dems continue with standalone bills without porky distractions that starts in 2022? Because they know that shills/apologist provides them cover and even the Repub trolled them with an amendment for $15k per citizen and funding for covid related efforts only
These personality worshipers that masquerade as problem solvers but are gaslighting obstructionist living a comfortable life needs to be shamed/ridiculed
all during the election year, this fool called anyone MAGA that demand Dems to use their leverage for more/frequent stimulus checks and now dap fishing with fake criticism

SHAME. SHAME. SHAME.

The voting population of Kentucky and South Carolina are obviously happy with them both obstructing Obama, carrying out trumps agenda ,pushing through Kavanaugh and other conservative judges ,pushing through the Patriot Act and a bunch of other goofy shyt . YOU may not like it but you’re a minority in your state ,the folks who keep putting him back in are satisfied with him .
So this week we get a Stimulus bill passed which will give checks and extend enhanced unemployment benefits, and also the vaccine rollout has been moved up to May. That to coli republicans = Dems will get washed in 2022.
Blame the average uninformed voter who has to literally be "paid" to be inspired enough to vote. The hype behind 2k checks brought people out to vote and with it majority rule of the senate.
That's what happens in a two party system when only the Democrat or Republican vote matters. Don't complain saying that someone isn't a Democrat or Republican and then get mad when said person votes third party. People are content with the way things are right now, so this is the outcome.
Look what happened when Bernie tried running for President.
You can acknowledge both the flaws in a two party system and also that Sanders and Manchin are very different.
While I think that having one or more additional parties would be very good for the functioning of our democracy, I don’t anticipate that it would result in a progressive Sanders like agenda passing.

Because the current system in place won't allow people like Sanders to succeed as it's either you're a Republican or Democrat. If you're not one of those two parties then you had no fair chance of winning an election. If people are fed up with the current system in how Congress operates, then they'd demand change instead of voting and keeping with the status quo. If they aren't going to do anything about it, then quit bytching and complaining about the way that things are.
Millions more Americans got insurance.
Discrimination based on pre-existing conditions was eliminated.
Young people able to stay on their parents plans to 26.
Medicaid was expanded.
to act like it wasn’t the most transformative moment in health insurance in our lifetimes is laughable.
It was wildly popular as well to the point that Republicans failed to repeal it under Trump.

again means they bout to lose the house or senate in 2 years like they did under obama. rethuglicans get whatever the fukk the want when they're in power. dems sit around watering down shyt and then wonder how they lose their majority asap. wonder why the rethugs have lost 6/7 for president popular votes but got 6 supreme court justices during that time. time to stop fukking around. that half measure shyt ain't getting them nowhere
