Of course there is a double standard. :wtf: Why do people constantly feel the need to compare posters on a messageboard to paid professionals with degrees in journalism and bully pulpits. This is not the first time (and probably not the last) that someone has tried to make this leap. :snoop: In addition to being and eduated professionals there are certian ethics that a journalist is expected to adhere to. So yes the standards for a journalist in terms of accuracy and not allowing personal feelings to overwhelm them are higher than the standards for the lay person in that regard. :mindblown: at people not getting this.

Never did I say that you shouldn't take this article with a grain of salt.
I made an observation, and y'all took off and ran with it :manny:

It's called being "objective", and yes, you can question the article all day.
Just don't make it about race when his biggest critics/haters are black, and dwell in these forums.

That's what irks me.

The funny thing is even if that is all true about the writer being Shanahans buddy, that still doesn't have anything to do with race.

It has a lot more to do with coaches having friends in the media and the media sticking up for their buddy coaches, which color has nothing to do with.

And we all know media types do that all the time. Francessa been doing that w/ Parcells for 25 years

This thread is in reference to an article. We questioned the article. You niqqas are on some "oh yeah...the article" shyt while making it about your own irrelevant thing.

To sports many fans, this mentality carries:

"I don't like a player who isn't playing well" = "I shouldn't question a questionable article slandering who I don't like"

If an organization gives a player that much power, that org is at fault, not the player.

It's like blaming a child for running a household because the parents aren't doing their job.

I completely agree with this.

It's on Snyder not on RG3, that's why I called their relationship into question, not RG3's personality or character

An obvervation based on the misguided thought process that I outlined.

The problem with the thought process you outlined is that it assumes I give journalists as much credit as you do.
I don't.
They all have agendas, and "journalism" and "integrity" are mutually exclusive in my opinion.

The definition of "professional" had been muddied.

On this site if a white person/media member rips a black athlete especially a qb that person is a card carrying klan member

You cant even have an open honest dialogue about race on here because youre immediately shamed and called a cac cac cac racist if you dare even disagree about race playign apart in something.

Posters here think the media simply wants to see black qbs fail why praising white qbs which is simply garbage, negaitvity sells period

There now saying that whole Stafford didnt want the Lions to hire a qb coach was bs does that mean their looking to smear white qbs? no the point is the media is looking to create stories and shyt storms in general it doesnt matter the race they have no integrity on any level with anyone theyll take any opporutnity to create a controversy ala rex with the ny media thast just what they do

RG3 is a huge name they know its a firestorm anytihng attatched to his name and they know the reaction theyll get which is why they did it,i know it sounds better to think that these people simply are in a room rubbing their evil white hands together looking for a way to destroy black qbs but its far from the truth

Regardless of what they actually do, there is a certain standard that journalists are EXPECTED to adhere to. There is no such expectation for lay people. Therefore to compare the two is silly. Beyond that I don't recall cats on here blatantly making shyt up about dude. It's one thing to have an opinion based on what has happened. It's another to re-create what has happened into an image that your prefer. It's a whole different level for a "journalist" to do so.

brehs, go through the article where are the quotes? where is the source coming from?

I have to say this again, there are Redskins beat reporters who say a) RG3 and Snyder dont have that close a relationship b) Sally Jenkins only attended 2 games this season, one was the Giants game in NY.

Think about that. She knows nothing. This is a hit job made by a person who is friends with Shanahan.

This article should not be entertained at all.
