I don't agree with it, but i think it's basically an open secret that's how the league wants it to be, same way in the NFL's new rules are geared toward the offense, or how MLB literally juiced the balls for more HR's :heh: . But then you see a noticeable decline in quality, NFL dudes just chuck shyt and hope for pass interference; nobody gaf about baseball; and we had damn near half a decade of Harden-ball in the NBA before they even pretended to make a rule about it. Their logic's probably that since it's not-called equally for both sides, it's neutral, but I think they miss the point that the quality of the product is getting diluted because it's on some circus shyt and new players in hs and college are probably going to just get exponentially more ridiculous.
I mean this is why you see USA struggling during international play now

The rules aren't being followed anymore. Now when you they play internationally they're surprised that the refs aren't allowing that bullshyt

i actually didn't know about the rick barry shyt :francis:
I knew he was essentially blackballed for being very unlikeable. Didn't know why he was disliked though.
Gonna have to disagree him solely on the principle that he's a racist cac. Moving screens are fine with me as long they make him mad. If they ever change the rule they should wait until the day after he dies so he never gets to see it,

ITS TO AN EXTREME POINT NOW
WHERE PLAYERS ARE CUFFING
THE BALL AND TRAVELING
ALL THE TIME AS WELL.

IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE ONE
EXTREME OR THE OTHER.

THE 90S-2000S HAD A GREAT
BALANCE OF THE RULE BOOK.

I think these changes started in the 80s.

A lot of players from the 60s were complaining about palming and traveling.

the amount of steps folks take when they gather the ball catching a pass is ignored as well, it ain't just the palming of the basketball on travels

All these redacted posts looking like the JFK papers :skip:

And I agree with his message but not his examples. If refs called every moving screen there would be no play.

But I’ve been saying for years either refs gotta call the game right or the NBA has to make 3 steps legal on a ‘basketball move’. All these step backs are 3-4 step travels; there’s no way to defend it.
