That pic is horrid. But this isn't the first time this happened. That's the problem with us as a whole. We go fishing for approval from these CACs that don't understand us. He is happy as hell to get more money and be seen in another market. And like he said, he doesn't give them shyt for it, all that promo for free. We rap about these stupid ugly, overpriced overrated brands who look at us as curiosity and a fun experiment rather than a serious genre of music. Jay-z with all his money and "influence" and these CACs don't even respect him. We should be using that money to make our own Gucci, fendi, Prada or what have you. Instead, we give these CACs free promo and more money and they can't even say thanks. Disgusting

But of course I'm pleased to have a happy client and I think it is nice that they talk about my products. I cannot imagine rejecting any positive response.

:what:fukk kinda thanks is that. He needs to give each of the rappers that mentioned his name an ownership stake in his company.

Something that people should take note of

http://www.latimesmagazine.com/2008/09/rick-owens-fashion.html

After high school, Owens moved to L.A. and studied painting at Otis Art Institute for two years, then switched to L.A. Trade Technical College for patternmaking courses. He worked at various designer-knockoff houses until, at 37, he set up shop in a tiny studio on Hollywood Boulevard with an assistant and a seamstress and began presenting his clothes directly to retailers, store by store. He gained an indie-rocker following (Courtney Love was an early acolyte) and eventually sold in places like Maxfield in Los Angeles, Louis Boston in Boston and Linda Dresner in New York. “My plan was to keep getting my stuff out there,” he says simply.

Apparently one way to build a fashion design company is through hard work, learning how to actually make and design clothes and just putting a lot of time into it :dwillhuh:

Bruh, the etherized summary and conclusion he came to about hip hop artist's blind dyck riding is troubling and pleasing at the same time
:heh: New Slaves

but I guess as our world is getting more and more commercial maybe it has become interesting to them to look into less obvious, more obscure fashion labels. Before, hip-hop used to be all about big luxury label brands like, you know, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci.”

:what: What's wrong with wearing clothes you think is cool though? If Jay wants to spend $2000 on a Rick Owens jacket that looks cool, let him do him. It's not Rick Owens' fault that camel or anybody else decides to rap about his clothing. Rick owens is just a fakkit fashion designer who's in his own world doing his own thing.

:comeon: So now this old white dude is obligated to listen to rap because rappers like his clothes?
