Joe never had any intention of taking another exclusive deal for the podcast because that would mean he would have to split profit with Rory and Mal.

The problem is, he’s trying to pay them with his own money from other deals that he signed. He was going to fuk them either way because their contract was up at the end of the year. Crazy

No matter how good or easy my job is......getting compensated at fair or above market rate consideration is not something I will ever neglect fighting for

NBA players are paid well for their services but you better know that the NBAPA is always looking to make sure they get equitable shares of the revenue pie whenever new streams of dough pop up

I prolly only listened to 2 episodes of this podcast.

I’m watching Rory & Mal explain what happened behind the scenes and only thing I’m thinking is, damn none of this will mess Joe up cuz that nikka hasn’t been bout shyt since the start.

This nikka Joe has consistently been an a$$hole since the mixtape days. If Love & Hip Hop couldn’t take him down, this shyt isn’t gonna hurt him at all.

Quit crying about “friendship” and “principles” and get your lawyer to handle that fool. If its as open and shut simple as Mal and Rory claim they could have easily gotten their bread through the courts.

It's not that simple as sue the nikka

First :

In any business in case of a disagreement the rule is to talk that out and find an agreement. Going to court is often a lose lose situation in terms of time money and bad image for everyone involve. You only go there in last resort

Second :

Theses three went on a basis of friendship. That's why the podcast is successful. You don't take to court someone you had a relationship that goes beyond work. Rory and Mal were naive but the fact that they were well paid and their relation with Joe delayed the beef between them. It took a succession of events coupled with the frustration thing with the money to arrive to the present situation

Third :

By going to the court it would have meant the end of the podcast pur and simple (at least for rory and mal). You don't burn all the forest just because some trees have a desease. You cut the trees first. It was in the best interest of rory and mal to try to fix the money and the recognition issue than to take the legal right. The decision of Joe to fire one of them and in public forced their hands but know they're in position of force in they go in court
