Fans would have been happy with Punk or Reigns too but to have Batista come back after 4 years away to win the Rumble over everyone else was BS
the same standard should be held for the rock coming back and winning the title then

I didnt want the Rock winning the title, that in turned caused the fukk up of Ryback's push.
But the end game for Rock winning the title was to put over Cena at WM, totally different situation

Even though I think we would've end up with a DB/Orton/Batista title match anyway, without Punk leaving I don't think we get a build up were EVERYTHING is focused around D-Bry's quest for the title.

They had Rey booked all week. ..they thought that Bryan could be put out there earlier and it would be over with. They had no inkling or idea how over Bryan was gonna be. The covering in the Cena match was so stupid and Bush league. Lawler sounded horrible. It was a sad to hear a man lose his manhood like that.
People chant Punk now but when it counted and it was money time? They were chanting for Bryan unlike anything we've ever seen before. In the end, they didn't have to change anything, punk leaving or not. But they did because they didn't want to be the laughing stock of the industry by seemingly being out of touch with Bryan's soaring popularity.
And now that Bryan lost his father and his neck injury? He's gonna come back even more worshipped than ever.
No, no, no...what tucked up Ryback waw them going forward with the notion that a non draw had to be champion and Ryback's streak had to be sacrificed. It was either Ryback win the belt or lose. They wanted him lose. End of story.
Aint no promoter stupid enough not to have Rock as champion in 2013. Think those WM 28 and WM 29 tickets without Rock guaranteed at those shows? Go look at those WM 25 AND WM 26 figures..they popping loud for Austin being mentioned on Raw these days but in 2009, his HOF ceremony took a lifetime to get sold out.

They both jobbers to Rock..of course he wasn't gonna lose. The book was done where Ryback wins it all like Lesnar did in 02 or lose. They wanted him to lose and kept having him lose to Sheild afterwards for no reason. That's just short sighted booking. They didn't do that with Lesnar. They made sure Michaels got pushed to the top in 96 when fans clearly loved Razor and Taker more. They made sure Cripple H was pushed ultra hard in 99 as he got humilated and ETHERED to high heavens by Rock nearly every week with Rock breaking rating records, selling out all arenas, and basically making everybody look secondary in WWF, ECW, and WCW. They didn't have that same faith in Ryback.
In all honesty, I don't know how they'd transition to Punk/HHH. I felt it was setting up to be Punk/Kane at 'Mania.
