:mjlol: even Kane didnt believe that otherwise he would have answered on record

Answered what?

They've both said there was no disses thrown either way, people were hypin' it up and wanting to see that battle happen but nobody was dissin'.

And I can't see either one of them, especially Kane, having someone call them out and dodge the battle... that shyt wasn't goin' down. Matter fact, Van Silk tried to set up a battle for Rapmania in 1990 and from what I've seen, the $ issue waa the only reason it didn't happen.

Royce tripping. In my opinion jay the best to do it but that's my personal opinion. You don't need to down play someone else greatness to elevate the person you fav. Without Kane Jay would still have been wearing Hawaiian shirts. Jay is of the Kane tree of emceeing. Show how much lack of respect for hip-hop history Royce has. That statement wasn't needed at all.

G Rap dropped a collab album with one of the nicest rappers in the world currently (38 Spesh) a couple years ago, and easily held his own throughout.

Outside of one verse on Busta's album, I haven't heard a dope Rakim verse in a minute. I could be missing something, but I haven't been hearing it. G Rap is consistently dropping dope verses over the last few years.

That Ra verse set off/ is on the intro for an important album in Busta's catalog. If breh wasnt spitting fire Busta would have excluded it. Or even had Ra on in the first place. That type of subject matter isnt G Raps lane, part of what makes Ra that dude still is his versatility.

:ld:plenty of interviews out there Ra said and pointed where he had bars for Kane. Ra doesnt need to drop music consistently at this stage of his career, or any at all even, he's earned that, but he still does. Him and Sade have the same mystique (also same amount of albums damn near) where they can drop albums every 35 years and still be:ohlawd:/relevant. GRap, Kris, Kane are not on that level.

Content is one thing, I'll give you that, Ra always had that over G Rap. but consistently spitting fire verses, G Rap is easily over Rakim in the last 5 years imo.

Funny he said this but when somebody says Em is trash he ready to pull out grenade launchers
Facts! Then he can’t agree to disagree all of a sudden lol.

Royce is incorrect, thats borderline disrespectful to Kane too the way he came off with it, cant ride with him on this.

The Goat Rakim destroyed Jay in 8 bars, dont see why Kane couldn't as well.

*edit

Royce is waaay off base :dead:
when did Rakim diss Jay? Can I hear these bars.

Id give you that due to the overall activity from that particular time span, from that aspect I can understand

Jay-z absolutely f'n bodied "The Watcher 2". Nobody schooled him on that.

Nah breh, Jay was all over the place/off topic, trying to 'bar' the track to outshine already laid verses, while the god spit a 16 straight to the point. Ra def had the more memorable bars as well. Even Dre's verse was better.

You trippin bro, lol. Never heard anyone say Jay-z didn't steal the show on that song, but salute.

Wouldn't say steal the show but Jay definitely held his own, and Rakim is WAY higher on my list than Jay.

That start to start BP2 was weird as hell too.

Had a dream I said :mjlol::hhh::picard::scust::gucci:
Hovi Baby :leon:

Watcher 2 :ohhh::ehh::wow::blessed:

a personal top 5 isn't a top 5 thats your favorite

I listen to Camron more than 2pac, but I can't put camron in no damn top 5 because I listen to his music more, that ain't how shyt works

It's this thing called reality, you can choose to accept it or not

your personal opinion doesn't erase facts

you can think 2pac is wack, but you can't see he not one of the greatest rappers ever because his impact on reality cannot be questioned

Ain't no opinions on this, this is fact

Nas has to be a top 5 rapper, because he's DONE TOO MUCH in the culture not to be

in order to be greater than Nas you gotta cover a lot of bases, and 98 percent of rappers don't, if you don't have Nas in your top 5 you don't know shyt about rap period lmao Nas is in the top 5

there is not my top 5, not your top 5, no nikka Nas is a top 5 rapper based on reality lmao

What a excellent sensible post

Imagine being this dismissive of a MC’s MC whose music ACTUALLY got played & mattered :mjlol:
