Kinda shocked no gamepass price increase announced


I assume they want wait closer to Holiday 2025 or later so people don't try and lock in cheaper or perhaps to encourage gamepass as a cheaper alternative for the time being.


It's definitely coming especially since 80 dollars 1st party games about to be the norm

Nah, I think they are very happy with people coming in at their own pace if they choose to. I do think they purposely didn't announce the price increase here because they want it to appear as attractive as a possible tho.

But it very well could be that they were like nahhhhh we aren't taking the hit on increased cost on hardware that we already losing money on and selling at a loss and someone was like we might as well double down on what Nintendo is doing, and tell em that too. It's hard to be mad at it when you have a cheaper option to play said games if you want them.

At this point you could have 4 months of gamepass for the price of 1 game.

That gamepass price increase is definitely coming

Yeah $30/month is wild for my uses. Can't speak for no one else.
I'd have to double check but in the last year I think the only GamePass game I've played is Doom the Dark Ages, and Expedition 33 is on there but I bought it for PS5 anyway. So what's that? $360 sub or pay $120 for those 2 games. What's that shake out to in terms of purchasable games for the year? $360/$70 = 5 games.
Yeah. I think I'ma do like Nino in New Jack City.
