Their first 3 albums have individual songs I like but the production on those albums doesn't make me want to revisit them often. That's the kind of beat I would produce for them given a chance, but they mostly used a lot of electro/industrial sounds on the first 3 albums. This album is a step up in the production style. They've both always been very talented rappers, but I understand people not liking El-P's lyrical style, it's always been esoteric and he's not interested in watering down his style. Anyway this is the first album of theirs that I think is a good listen start to finish.
