Nahhhhh, what Russ really was saying is that upon receiving the news that he'd be coming off the bench, it triggered the firing of radical nerve signals to his brain, causing a chemical imbalance, throwing off the equipose of his biomolecular system, delaying key biological processes and eventually, the hamstring tweak . Nothing to do with ego
His contract is the problem...Paying a 3rd option 35-40% of your salary cap is asinine, especially when you don't have roster depth...I don't blame Russ for that, I blame Laker management and Lebron/AD.

Russ going to the Lakers was absolute GOLD from an entertainment standpoint. It doesn’t get much better than this

It’s been all downhill since his MVP season; he’s been a bad player pretty much ever since then. Too damn caught up in chasing box score numbers instead of playing the game.
He could’ve had a great career, even if he didn’t win anything, but there’s no hope of rectifying that now.
Bad player that still back packed a few teams at least to the playoffs

Facts. I wouldn't mind seeing him on the team again next season albeit with a drastic paycut to account for his current level of play. Then get some shooters and rebounders! Need a couple 3 and D guys and players who can create their own shots too.
