Vancouver is the worst in North America, Vancouver doesn't even have jobs thst pay well, at least San Fran and toronto do but still

Even town homes in torontobare like 7-800k and li yang from china is buying em

When you have a "Million Dollar Listing..." series, affordability is long gone.

We're moving to a 2 class system. Rich and poor. Get in where you fit in. We're having the same sh1t here in Toronto. Vancouver average property is well over $1M and they already created laws to curb foreign investment. It's happening in every major, world class city.

Townhouses in Toronto (freehold) going for that price? I guess outside the city. Not here, though. We were looking for houses in the city and what you get for $750K is depressing.

Toronto is bad too in terms of pay vs home prices. Salaries have been stagnant for decades now.

I'm in Vaughan for 800k you can get a semi fetachdd, a townhouse Is 600-750, condo 400k and above.

I wws looking for a condo andeven a 1bdrm 450 condo no parking in a decent area is 400k plus crazy maintenance fees

Toronto is bad but Vancouver is the worst, Vancouver has no bay Street, no big companies beside ea, average household income is 76,000, average rent is like 1,800 for a 1bdrm and th vacancy rate is so low.

Sad thing about Toronto, even 6 years ago everything was 50 percent of what it is today. A million dollar house was 500k, a 400k condo was 200k my folks bought their house for 550k in 2009, it's now worth 1.3 mill.

I remember being in college when you could get a brand new condo for 140k, and I'm only 31.

I eont know how people are affording it, any house over 500k you need 20 percent down

Wow.

When you hear about the term "24hr community/city" shyt gonna get real. I spoke about it just today in the NYC gentrification thread. I have my eye on downtown Newark now because NYC real estate is just too unattainable now for the average person. Investors have their claws deep in our skin. I just entered a tentative contract for a condo (after being beat out by investors three times in NYC) and with God's grace it will go through.

305 E 140th St Apt 3 A, Bronx, NY 10454 - Home For Sale and Real Estate Listing - realtor.com®

This is in the Bronx. About a 10 min walk from the projects. People keep hoping for the "bubble" to burst but I don't think it would help much. My homeboy bought a few co-ops in the South Bronx and pleaded with people to do the same. I couldn't afford it at the time. :mjcry:

What do you mean by this? "When you hear the term 24 hour community/city shyt gonna get real"?

The Comfort Zone
NYC has always been a 24 hour community. I don't know what he's talking about. Dude is the BX gentrification boogeyman. Way more has to be done than sell the 9 condos that they've allegedly sold.

First off, I'm a she.

Secondly, I'm referring to places that WANT to turn into a 24/7 community.

Third, keep thinking that you're immune. Do you have any idea of the money that is being pumped into the city? The investment movements...investment groups? A friend from college and her investment group (minorities) were laughed out of a meeting two years ago...and they have capital.

May take awhile, but no renter is truly safe. Unless you're in a rent controlled apt or on section 8 breh :mjpls:
