A simple good morning is perfectly fine and something that may seem trivial can go a long way.

I'm not a morning person at all and def can't have full on convos till I've been at work for a good 30-60 minutes. But saying good morning is polite and disarming.

May seem like stupid social norms, but if you're in the corporate world that's the game you have to play, gotta finesse it any way you can.

This girl I use to work with intentionally would walk by everyday and make no eye contact purposely and purposefully so I was like:yeshrug:

One day I decided to switch it up and said "Good morning." and she says "Oh so you do speak!":childplease:

Nah.....you did right, she might have hit you with office harassment if you said hello to soon.. How many days or weeks till you finally said hello :whoo:

wow and i thought i was antisocial at work. if i pass people at work i even ask the ones i don't really know hows it going . it's simple and has never turned into some long ass conversation, no convo at all usually
Passing ppl is different like

If I'm walking down the hallway crossing paths and potentially making eye contact I speak or acknowledge in some kind of way

In the morning I'm usually trying to rush to get to my desk login so I'm not late I don't have time for that shyt at that point

No matter where I go, I been taught to say 'Mawnin', Aftah-noon, Good-Day', since in the Caribbean people can get REAL angry if you don't say that shyt, especially if you coming within the vicinity of older folks. Take that shyt with me wherever I go, don't cost shyt to drop a greeting. :manny:

What fukks me over is when I drop it and I get NOTHING back in return:dwillhuh:. From Grownfolks, kids, the whole nine. shyt, Last week I jumped into an eatery to pick up an order. Hit the door, raised my voice 'Afternoon.', got hit with the :usure: from this dude and an older chick and they turned back around on my ass.:russ:
I thought I muttered it under my breath but the minute I said ''Room full of ain't shyt people." fukking homeboy started :wtb: at me and I had to hit him with the :mjpls:.
Long story short, Just say 'Morning' and keep it moving, mate. No need to shake everyone's hand or ask what they had for breakfast.:ld:
Exactly what you set yourself up for is failure doing shyt like that

Then got the nerve to shyt on ppl cuz they didn't speak

nikkaZ will intentionally do u like that if u don't usually say GM then decide one day to come in all cheerful and say it nikkas will ignore yo ass just to prove a point

I seen it all before
