These brothers aren't scammers, y'all gotta stop with that narrative. This event didn't promise anything but successful guest speakers talking about how they earned their wealth, entertainment and networking opportunity with the 1000s of people there. If you went to this event to learn some secret to investing, that's on you, there is no secret. If you didn't attempt to network with any of the 1000s of people there, that's on you.

With General Admission tickets priced at $300, VIP Admission priced at $1,800, Platinum VIP priced at $5,000 and VIP Lifetime Membership priced at $13,000

If the word scam is too strong for some of you can you at least admit they're hustling people?

What does 13k get you?

Friday Night Private VIP Event, Which Includes:
-Musical Performance
-Fireside Chats
-Open Bar
-Food
-Special Merch

Also Includes:
- Lifetime VIP Access
-VIP Seating for the Main Stage on Saturday & Sunday

Yall can't be this green:comeon:

Nothing they provide in that package has anything to do with business. It's just paying to sit closer to famous people. Of course they're not going to outright scam people but they're basically charging to put a bunch of people in close proximity to "network." They're using celebrities and emphasizing entertainment to overcharge people and fatten their own pockets.

Nothing will be perfect but an event at this scale, with the amount of people, should have some opportunity there. I’m not expecting everything about them or the event to be perfect but if I’m there I’m using it as opportunity. That’s it, it may not be what was expected but something good can come from it. There’s too many people there to not build at least 1 good connection you didn’t have before. That’s a new sphere of influence to build in.
shieeet, I do UX. them dudes all wanna make businesses? I'd make a damn killing in that room :russ: :russ: :russ:

This is "black entrepreneurship" without experience in professional strategy, planning, and execution.

People talk about wanting to be their own boss but don't have the professional experience and skill to pull off boss shyt then have the gumption to charge boss prices.

Your heart may be in the right place.

But if you can't back up what you promise, it comes of scammy.

Luke everyone before you, go put in 5-10 years of experience to build up your skills. Do the grunt work. Get your hands dirty. Work for the "white man" if you can't find a black owned company. Then when the time is right, jump into the entrepreneurial waters so you have the skill to pull off something of this size and nature with aplomb.

You sounds like a damn hater.

Black folks face employment discrimination so those White collar jobs are not as accessible as they are for other races.

Let these folks get their lumps and learn from there experience and go own and thrive without being a hater.

These complaints aren’t anywhere near as bad as I expected. It more so sounds like the lack of organization that comes when people set up an event for the first or second time.
Have standards and have brehs call you a co*n

WTF is this bullshyt? :laff:

Them nikkas is trash. They care about looking like celebs and sitting at the cool more than pushing what they claim to be about.

These dudes are shameless, don't care about black people and get exposed all the time--and their defense is "it's corny exposing us" "you sound like a white man"

JT is a certified accountant and calls this shyt out regularly

This woe is me m'fer.

Get some experience before you decide to gamble with black dollars.

We're not the playpen for amateurs to roll around in.

And you've just revealed how little you think of black people.

I don't even understand what idiot would take issue with anything said in that post.

This bullshyt didn't even dignify a response.

That’s what it is bruh. It’s crazy that people pay credit repair people $1,000 for something they can do for free. But oh wait it takes tooo long

:mjlol:

I remember offering someone to fix their credit for them

They were like: "Oh shyt, so you can write them letters to the credit agencies to write off all of my debt?"
I was like: ":gucci::what: no, I will help with your personal finances, reduces your expenses, and how you can little by little pay down your debt"

He was like: "Nah fukk that :camby:"

Agree
I don't know what to make of the event being discussed, but I know that Black Enterprise was in business for years before they began hosting conferences and networking events. I know of Earn Your Leisure from seeing/hearing their podcasts on this forum. They should have done smaller events and worked out the issues/problems before staging something of this size. But I guess they are striking while the iron is hot, and they have a popular podcast
