Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
That can be said for a lot of platforms man. You can’t over look the amount of reputable people they had on their panel. They had fukk Robert F Smith and also Don Peeples. They’re not meeting with just anybody. You focus on that and over looking the bigger picture.

This. Most people don't want to hear it but building wealth is a long game and realistically boring if you don't find economics and financing interesting.
That’s what it is bruh. It’s crazy that people pay credit repair people $1,000 for something they can do for free. But oh wait it takes tooo long

Nothing will be perfect but an event at this scale, with the amount of people, should have some opportunity there. I’m not expecting everything about them or the event to be perfect but if I’m there I’m using it as opportunity. That’s it, it may not be what was expected but something good can come from it. There’s too many people there to not build at least 1 good connection you didn’t have before. That’s a new sphere of influence to build in.

"Attendees have also voiced concerns about the quality of the content presented at Invest Fest. Expected to provide attendees with actionable investment strategies and insights from industry experts, the festival instead showcased speakers who were late or lacking the depth of knowledge expected from such an event. Many attendees left sessions feeling unsatisfied and questioning whether their time and resources were well spent."

look at the comments from people who attended. Y'all really don't see the scam? 😂

They look legitimate by inviting.accomplished business people. They themselves pretend to be accomplished business people. They sell tickets and pitch it like a learning engagement. Instead it's like motivational speaking event.

If people can't start to see through these scams especially when a lot of them prey on behs then the scammers will keep eating.

That's my last post in here.

We're going to agree to disagree. Soemthing isn't a scam becaues it doesn't live up to your expectations. The article reads like a hit peice so natually it's going to attract people who were also displeased. This isn't the first year of the festival and its only grown so clearly plenty of people enjoyed it and found value.

This is "black entrepreneurship" without experience in professional strategy, planning, and execution.

People talk about wanting to be their own boss but don't have the professional experience and skill to pull off boss shyt then have the gumption to charge boss prices.

Your heart may be in the right place.

But if you can't back up what you promise, it comes of scammy.

Luke everyone before you, go put in 5-10 years of experience to build up your skills. Do the grunt work. Get your hands dirty. Work for the "white man" if you can't find a black owned company. Then when the time is right, jump into the entrepreneurial waters so you have the skill to pull off something of this size and nature with aplomb.

EYL has given spotlight to a lot of scammers over the years via their platform. Greg Parker, Him 500, and Jay Morrison to name a few. They're reputation now is one associated with scamming culture unfortunately.

I will say that Jay Morrison was on cnbc before as well. He was an advanced scammer.
