“Never gonna work” because they were never enacted.I see lockdowns/closures and the other protocols to prevent spread as two different buckets. Universal lockdowns were never going to work here, not sure why it’s hard for some of y’all to admit that...my point on movement within the US points to just one reason why.
Not because there’s some logistical issue preventing America from doing it.
We just chose not to because American leadership is incompetent.
This is the patented American ignorance I was talking about.Travel is just one issue, the autonomy of states and the rights of local jurisdictions to govern is another...even within states/cities their is different protocol. Lockdowns were never going to be a blanket thing here, and I’m not convinced they should’ve been, I can see the case for Idaho being like why would we close down when we’re not overrun just because NYC is? If I remember correctly, southern Italy didn’t have the same rules as northern Italy which was getting hammered, we need to stop acting like this shyt was perfect in Europe.

Idaho would shut down early, so they wouldn’t have a bunch of deaths. Waiting till a bunch of people die, before you start doing something is exactly why America is winning the Rona contest.
Any path would take clear and decisive leadership from the top. Can’t mandate masks if there aren’t enough to go around. Now I fully agree that Trump/the right’s desire to fight things like masks, capacity limits, and closing certain businesses or venues that lead to crowds in the hundreds to thousands is the issue that needs to be addressed. That’s the middle path IMO, it’s how you say, fine, let’s have some level of function but also be responsible in how we function. That opportunity was missed
Cant contact trace if there aren’t enough tests to go around.
like I said the science on how to beat it is clear. American leadership just failed on all levels.
fukk outta here breh. you know goddamn well that she's right about poorer school districts not even being in the same convo as richer ones when it comes to "learning at home"

im not pretending i have the answer to this. its an awful question
