What you're thinking is a conversation. I don't think I've ever discussed an issue/topic with someone and it not ending up a debate.
Schoolboy's stans
Everybody knows Sean is better. Sean out here touring around the world solo whereas SchoolBoy Q still one hit record awayAll fact
For starters... the album is good but not as great as people on this site make it out to be (and certainly not even close to being better than GKMC). It has a decent concept, good replay value, and the "hits" out of the "hits and misses" are top of the bleacher homeruns. However, I don't know why this album's imperfections are so overlooked.
First off, the production is cool but there are glaring problems. I understand it's an independent album so everything is not gonna sound top of the brass expensive, but there are definitely some pedestrian beats on here (see "My Hatin' Joint", "Grooveline Pt. 1", and "nikkaHs.already.know.davers.flow"). Then you have the piss-poor produced songs like "Nightmare On Figg St.", "Druggys Wit Hoes Again", and "Sexting". That's already 6 average/shytty beats scattered on the album, way too much for supposedly album of the year.
I understand Schoolboy Q isn't meant to be placed in the same box as Ab-Soul and Kendrick, he's a gangster rapper and doesn't do the big words conscious deal, but he didn't impress me with any verses on here. His subject matter and flows were good, but I could listen to Dom Kennedy's Yellow Album if I wanted to hear mediocre rapping with good productions/concepts.
His delivery can be corny. When he tries to yell on the tracks and be all aggressive and whatnot, it ruins the song cuz the voice isn't convincing enough. When he sticks to his regular voice and delivery, (Sacrilegious, Gangsta In Designer, My Homie, Raymond 1969) it turns out to be a classic. I just listened to that new Yay Yay track, and the production and hook is good but once he starts rapping with that shytty ass delivery it fukks everything up. This is why Kendrick & Jay Rock are the first ones to be signed out of TDE; they have a good bravado delivery and can ride a beat like no other, especially Kendrick.
It's a good album, but definitely not better than good kid, mAAd city and definitely not album of the year. I honestly thought Ab-Soul's album was better and sounded more fresh. Please, if you disagree, explain to me how this album is better than Kendrick's.
Fam, we can't just start saying any and every artist has stans. Gudda Gudda stans, Yelawolf stans, Mayhem Lauren stans, Stalley stans, etc. That shyt just don't sound right. Q just has a lot of people that fukk with him and were mostly put on to him by his TDE connection in some way.
You're point was made right there
You'll never see me make that same mistake again![]()
i come into the thread expecting to contribute, and always get tracked by this sideshow loser of a poster
sean dont know you

As for this thread, saying H&C is overrated, even on this site, is-worthy. This thread was inspired by the two threads Q had about his new album yesterday. I can count on one hand how many H&C/Schoolboy Q threads there have been on the coli since it began.
As for your points about the album: I'd have to know what your tastes in production are like to address your issues about the production on this album. Imo, the beats are a strong point of this album. I say that because none of them are trying to do too much. The beats you called pedestrian or piss poor aren't that much different than the rest of the album. What results is an album you can chill and zone out to from beginning to end. H&C is the soundtrack to an alcohol, drug and hoe filled Saturday night and doesn't pretend to be much more than that. And there's nothing wrong with that.
Q brings an energy, rawness and uniqueness that you don't find in the majority of rap nowadays. Listen to PMW off A$APs album to see why cats fukk with him as hard as they do, pause. He takes over tracks with his wittiness, unique flow and ability to be himself. H&C isn't better than GKMC, imo, but it's the funner album that I can listen to in more varied situations.
