Scottie Pippen: Bulls core could've won at least one more ring if Front Office didn't force them out

Mike was on FUMES by the time that Jazz serious was over. It was really a preview of how he would look with the Wizards because he got by on elite footwork, GOAT level IQ and unbelievable determination for most of that series.

Would the shortened season be enough for him to have enough in his legs to go through the gauntlet again? That's a hard question to answer, but it's hard to doubt the GOAT.

The 718
MJ's beef with Krause started when Krause tried to shut him down in the '86 season. In reality, his foot injury wasn't even serious - his prognosis was like 6 weeks so a Late December/early January return. But the Bulls played so poorly in his absence that Krause wrote the season off as an L, preferring to sit him out for the rest of the year and tank until MJ had to beg him. nikka was having to sneak on UNC's campus and do 5-on-5 practices :heh:

I mean, it's sensible logic since you don't want to risk aggravating the injury into something that actually was serious in a doomed season. But if a dude is ready to play you don't keep him out and destroy that relationship so early :aicmon:

The change of scenery was good for Pippen, but I'm talking more about age. I'm not counting that group out if they were in their late 20s, but mid 30s after 3 straight finals? Fatigue + the league was transitioning into the Duncan/Shaq era.

I can definitely see the Bulls 4-peat, but I can also see the Spurs win.

and that hoe ass nikka pippen couldn't wait to hit fa he wanted out more than anbybody on that team this is revisionism bullshyt
I agree with pippen wanting out of a bad contract even the front office didn't want him to sign lol. If they could have kept Bison Dele for another year they had a shot imo.

An old team that made 3 straight runs to the finals and was in the semis the year before that playing 50 games from February into May? That’s a tall task, but the spurs perimeter lineup wasn’t much of a match for theirs. They could’ve done it, though I think it would’ve been their toughest test. It really can’t be understated how toxic management was and still is for that franchise. Publicly looking for Phil’s replacement while they’re defending champs in the middle of 3 straight titles and promising to get rid of him even if they pulled off a perfect season
Fam, it was a hard 50 games.

Back to back to backs

A lot of four in five days. Then old dudes woulda been broken. Pippen’s back was already on fire.

Less total minutes on their legs once the playoffs start>>>>
It was so densely scheduled though, that the players wouldn’t have had time during the season to rest. Guys were damn near playing every night. Look at the 2011-12 season, and they had an extra 5-6 weeks for the whole season to play out. Basically everyone was hurt by the playoffs. Like @mastermind just said, all those back to back to back and 4 games in 5 nights run you into the ground.

They likely could have, and this is one of the reasons why Jerry Krause (RIP) was one of the most hated men in Chicago :francis: He deliberately destroyed that team because of his ego. Talmbout "I don't care if we go 82-0 and win the title, I'm breaking up this team :camby:" :martin:
We won’t ever hear a quote that better captures an out of control ego from an executive than “I don’t care if it’s 82-0. After this season, you’re fukking gone.” It’s amazing looking back at it.
"Organizations Win Championships":hhh:
To an extent I actually agree with this. Everyone from the roster, to the coaching staff, to the training staff, to the front office all contribute. It’s a real short list of poorly run franchises that win it all. Since Michael came back from baseball, the only team to do it was the 2016 cavaliers. After that the worst was the 2004 pistons, and Dumars was doing a good job at that point.

Did they all play 105+ games a season the prior three years at 35+ minutes a game?
Of course not.... they weren't good enough to do so ... Another reason The Bulls would have smoked them

As a matter fact... old ass Utah smoked them nikkas in 5 games the year before and their core was even older than the bulls :picard:
