Love Sounding Alot Like Dwight lol

Dwight was a fraud. Love's not ashamed to blatantly be a dikk. Has been since high school.

Whether he and Rubio are headed on same path as KG-Steph 15 years ago, KL said he won't begrudge RR getting paid all that he can get

That doesn't make any sense. That's like asking "if people are hyping LeBron as the best player in the league, why does anyone care whether Wade feels he needs more touches?"

Rubio's hype from GMs and fans alike is stamped, certified, and filed. We even had that NBA Geek guy wilding out last season on our podcast suggesting he was better than Westbrook at that moment, and that he deserved MVP votes. And the T-Wolves clearly think a guy whose ceiling is a worse version of Rajon Rondo is their franchise player, which is comical to me.

Not the same thing. Not the same at all.

What was our record without Ricky? It ain't hard to tell. If you find it difficult to win without a particular player, what would you consider that player to be?

It's Woj. He also kept calling him an Olympian even though the deal was signed before he ever got named to the team.

By most accounts, Woj has an axe to grind.

I'm not surprised at this. The article seemed to key in on all the skeptical shyt he probably said. But I'm sure Love didn't want it to come off that way.

Well, of course not. But my point is that writing about Love's unhappiness doesn't somehow disprove Rubio being overhyped and overvalued.

Oh fukk, so now we're going with that nonsensical "when he was out, our record was worse, which proves that the fact that he can't shoot and has already had a major injury is completely moot" logic.

Then if they lose with Rubio but his numbers improve, it'll be about the numbers. Then if if they add a new player and rubio's numbers go down but they win it'll be about Rubio's willingness to sacrifice, etc.

Ricky Rubio as franchise player is comedy. Although I kind of pray the Rockets package 3 future 1st rounders and Chandler Parsons to the Wolves for Rubio, and put together the Advanced Stats That Only Daryl Morey and his Legion of Sycophants Comprehend Traveling All Stars with a two-pg lineup of Lin and Rubio.

Wait... so he's better than Rondo? At what exactly? Backyard wrestling? Being Spanish? Walking into a club with a more normal looking casual outfit?

You said his ceiling is a worse Rondo like Rondo is CP3, Deron, or Rose.

I disagree, I think he can surpass Rondo's highly overrated ass. And I think when he's in the league for the same amount of time as Rondo he'll have a better jumper and hit FTs at a higher clip.

And please don't gas Rondo's defense, because that's clearly one of the most overrated aspects of that nikkas game.

Carry on.

I'll give you freethrows, but I have no idea what it is about Rajon Rondo that makes people go to such an extreme to downplay his basketball genius. No, he's not CP3, but if you think Rubio's ceiling is CP3... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

And I said nothing at all about Rondo's defense.

nikka :what:

Where did I say his ceiling is CP3? I just said I don't think it's equal to a "worse Rajon Rondo"

You pointed out that Rondo, in your opinion isn't a top tier point guard a la CP3, Deron, or Rose. You pointed this out directly after dismissing Rubio's ceiling being a worse Rondo, as if that was some grand insult. Which, read one after the other, seems to imply that you think Rubio's ceiling is close to a top tier guard than it is to Rondo's.

Rondo had a 16-14-13 3 steals and 3 blocks line the other night. He pretty much averaged a triple-double in the playoffs one year. He can't shoot a consistent J but he still gets into the lane when he needs to score. He has 24 triple-doubles in his career. The only one who should be offended by a Rubio-Rondo comparison is Rajon.

In a couple of years they're most likely gonna (hopefully) have a new owner, a new GM, if shyt doesn't get better, probably a new coach. Complete and total regime change. No way to figure out what they'll do or how good they can be (because there is a damn good chance they'll be really good going forward). Then, they can reassess the situation. If shyt hasn't gotten better, then both sides are wasting each other's time and he needs to walk anyway.

This isn't LeBron. This isn't Dwight. He's not that caliber of player. The only way this could invoke memories of LeBron or KG is if this was Rubio. Instead we're mulling over the future of a player who willingly signed a 3 year deal + option and is less than 20 games deep into that contract. If they're doing well, they don't have to do shyt, and if he's still complaining, then why would you want him anyway?
