Serious Question: Why are introverted people vilified?

I hang out and go to gatherings all the time, but I don't be all super crazy to strangers n all.

I've noticed this too, but, being an introvert, I can't fukking stand small talk and it annoys me when people try to force convo out of me. If its not a common interest, get the fukk out of my face

This is just something that has been on my mind for a minute and I really do not have anyone that is willing to have a serious discussion about it with.

Sometimes my friends say stuff like, "Before I met you, I thought you were stuck up/mean/weird/etc. because you were so quiet. But you're a cool guy!"

I'm just like

Really? Really? Because someone is okay with not having to talk just to hear themselves talk, they are stuck up all of a sudden?

Even in the workplace, the people that usually get promoted are the ones with exceptional social skills. And the ones who actually know their job but are quiet are treated .

It's almost 12 PM and I'm already tipsy, so I figured I'd ask the Coli brethren and brethrenettes (?) about their experiences about this

to really succeed on a high level youre going to have to develop social skills breh....theres no getting around it. im a natural introvert too....but for what i want....this shyt has to go....

Reading comprehension my friend. Did you read my first post? If so, you would know the question I posed was not why people were vilifying me, but why today's culture seems to shy (no pun intended) away from introverted people, such as in the workplace.

I should have been clearer. That's my fault. I have great social skills, that's not the problem. It's the fact that I don't have something to say 24 hours a day. Just wanted to have a discussion on why this was, and I got some great feedback.

They the ones that get hyped and be in all kinds of drama, sometimes they even start that shyt. Introverts always deliver Karma to those that they see fit.

I feel your pain brotha. I work in retail and I actually like talking to people, but it just gets draining at the end of the day.
