Serious Question: Why are introverted people vilified?

I don't think I've been called mean or stuck up for being quiet but I have been commented on/asked why I'm so quiet. I've gotten the weird assumption (which I believe myself, I am weird )

If I get comfortable around you I won't be so quiet but that takes a minute.

Just a observation, but I noticed that women don't really get the same treatment if they're introverted. Like if you're a women and introverted, people assume you're studious or a book reader or something in that bracket. But if you're a male, especially a young Black man, if you're not turning up 25/8 then you get labelled a lot differently.


This isn't a women bashing post and please don't take it there, just something I noticed.

Because men are expected to excel externally so when you're not boisterous or vocal it's weird for the average person.

For mild cases of introversion, its because women rarely approach men.

For extreme cases ,its because its not healthy nor can you progress in life by being too introverted and lacking social skills which is necessary to survive in a society.

The real reason why is people want you to interact with them the way THEY want you to interact with them. If you are quiet and they want to party then they expect you to become like them in order to get to know you better. People want to meet and you on their level.

People say that to introverts because they want to be in their business as well as they feel slighted that the person feels no need to engage in conversation with them.

These people are selfish and fail to realize that there are people who do not like to fake the funk. If they dont see any common interest they aren't required to force one. Just fukk um, these people usually fukk up and everyone ends up hating them later on anyways.
