Melo kicked it too hard in his early days. This what a bad diet, smoking, and drinking in your early years do to you when you're already blessed with the fat gene AND on the plus side of 30 years old.

the ether
bbbbbut he's better than Draymond! Foh

There should be a list of all 94 fools who said that Carmelo was better than Draymond. :dead:

Another 45 said that Wiggins was better than Draymond. :heh:

43 said that Paul Millsap was better than Draymond. :jbhmm:

44 (a majority cause most people had quit the stupid polls) said that Avery Bradley was better than Dray. :skip:

29 said that Jabari Parker was better than Draymond. :dead:

77 said that Kevin Love was better than Draymond. :shaq2:

And 56 had IT ahead of Draymond. :russ:

Those 30-odd polls gotta have been the worst continuous waste of stickied board space in Coli history. Only thing they good for is exposing the casuals who cast some of those votes. :lolbron:

It's wild...I've been shytting on Melo the last what 4-5 years. Even then I'm not really taking pleasure in watching him crumble and age like this.
I take great pleasure shytting on him because he deserves it. In the Knicks thread for years I said he a bum and team cancer but all those would need to on his side again was him working out to a rap song and him saying he is in the best condition of his life.

ATL - Cleveland Ave.
It is :mjcry:
Seeing your favorite point gawd (Jason Kidd) go scoreless in playoff games when he would fill up a box score like it was nothing just the other day (which in actuality is probably 5-6 years before they go to :flabbynsick:

Plus most of us haven’t seen a players entire progression from up and coming to superstar to star to role player to :flabbynsick:

:to: And these young nikkas ain’t got the same heart as the original players I stanned had at that same age.
Yeah, these new kids are dumb talented. But their demeanor makes you feel like you're just watching elite level aau ball.

By this time, I thought Melo was going to be one of the best pure shooters in the league because shooting is one of the main basketball skills that gets better with age and he was already good at it (compared to his draft class stars).

Melo came into the league with ageless skills (post moves/shooting touch + the clutch gene), yet his game has still managed to age poorly.

How Sway?

I mean I know why, but it's still unfortunate to see. I know Basketball isn't everything, but it's so jarring how Bron is his man's, yet Melo isn't nearly as invested in the details of the game.

Exactly. :pacspit:
This highlight came up on my timeline the other day

:mjcry: Brought back good memories

  1. The best players on each team are actually guarding each other
  2. The best players on each team are trying to embarrass each other

Good lord some of these young guys in the NBA have TERRIBLE body language. Just out there looking sloppy and stoned when they aren't immediately involved in a play. But then they get the rock and start effortlessly gliding around the court.

Melo should mirror his game after Aldridge's, stop chucking contested threes, go set screens and demand the ball in the post. They just have to work on double team situations, Melo is a good passer.

This happened just last year.

PG should be the one catching and shooting and working around the perimeter.
