While Tim's name is often invoked by many only when it's time to disparge or demean Kobe and his legacy, Tim was entirely too thorough and legit for me to sanction statements like this. Still, I understand why Diesel went so hard, though. He's going in on behalf of his dead brother and the fact that, again, Tim's praise only reaches a crescendo once Kobe is involved, but TD isn't responsible for the pettiness. He deserves more respect than that.

That’s facts. That’s why that loser IllmaticDelta made that comparison thread and then mocks Kobe’s death when he’s called out for not paying respects. He don’t care about TD or Kobe he just wanted to be a wannabe slick fakkit.

TD was a legend but Shaq is definitely going hard to defend Kobe. He seen that first take shyt and for all we know he probably browses here and saw that dumbass thread. I doubt he believes CWebb is better

More simpleton shyt. A lot of people were responsible for that and it’s a discussion for a different thread. It’s been discussed a million times go read a book about it.

I'm just saying it's been :deadhorse: about Duncan benefitting from "a stable environment" while completely ignoring the fact that he played in a small market that couldn't attract any high-profile FAs. Volatility isn't bad when you can count on having your pick of top tier FAs. Shaq and Kobe had Karl Malone and Gary Payton signing for the damn minimum, Artest took less money to play in LA. Jerry West used his Laker ties to gift-wrap Pau to LA.

Duncan created/maintained the stable environment. Aldridge requested a trade a year after Duncan retired and then the Kawhi fiasco happened the following year. The only two crazy things that happened under Duncan's watch were Tony texting Barry's wife and Jax getting cut in 2012 after failing to fall in line behind Kawhi and Manu. It's been said a bunch of times in this thread, but Duncan was the system. Duncan was the stability.

Chris Webber did NOTHING better than TD

Anyone that ever watched both of them knows this

Durant said Kawhi was a system player in Pops system as well, and we know how that turned out

:pachaha:

Dude said “If you put Paul George on the Spurs what do you think would happen” Like George was incrementally better. One of the worst aging comments ever

2004 Olympics exposed Duncan as a system player

More like it exposed Larry Brown. He's a HOF coach, but he got gassed up for his team "playing the right way" after they dropped the Lakers in 04. Squad was full of young guys who clashed with Brown's coaching style. Dude barely played Bron, Wade or Melo, almost shipped Marbury home. Pop idolizes Brown as well, so no way was he going to step to him. Didn't help that the other vets who were supposed to be on the squad ghosted Team USA due to 9/11.
