Ya cause Manu and Parker were so much better than Kobe.
Manu and Parker? TP didn't come until he was a teenage rookie in 2002 and Manu was a rookie in 2003. Even in '03/'04 they were still just young role players.
In 1999 the big three for each team when they face in the WCSF were:
Duncan, old post-injury Robinson, Sean Elliiot
Shaq, young Kobe, Glen Rice. All three of those players had made the last two all-star teams and Shaq/Kobe were both All-NBA.
No one on the Spurs besides Duncan even averaged 14ppg, while Kobe and Glen Rice were both around 20ppg for the series. And yet the Spurs still swept the Lakers on the strength of Duncan averaging nearly 30-10-3 with great defense.

For what it's worth, Duncan bested KG head to head...often. Regarding Shaq, he still salty that he took a cool 5 years off his career due to poor conditioning. And Duncan and co snatched a few rings from him. I don't recall Tim Duncan ever struggling against any of Shaq's teams either, this is one where Shaq can't scream "Ringz Erneh!" and take up the airspace, he has to give Tim "Big Fundamentals" Duncan his props...and it pains him to do it, lol.

Chris Webber is not better than Tim Duncan. He was good in his prime but he’s not as technical.
