Shaq is insecure because Duncan was arguably as good as he was right in the middle of his own prime:

Duncan from 1999-2005 was incredibly dominant. Lakers needed two superstars to compete with what Duncan was doing with role players.

1999: Beats Kobe/Shaq when his #2 scorer was Sean Elliott
2000: Gets injured before regular season ends
2001: Loses to Kobe/Shaq when his #2 scorer was Antonio Daniels
2002: Loses to Kobe/Shaq when his #2 scorer was 19yo rookie TP
2003: Beats Kobe/Shaq when his #2 scorer was 20yo 2nd-year TP
2004: Loses to the Kobe/Shaq/Malone/Payton superteam when his #2 scorer was 21yo 3rd-year TP
2005: Beats everyone and wins a title with 3rd-year Manu as the #2 scorer

In that 7-year stretch he had 7 1st-team All-NBA selections, 7 1st-team All-Defensive Team selections, 7 top-5 MVP finishes, 2 MVPs, 2 MVP runner-ups, and 3 Finals MVPs. Equal or better than Shaq in every single category.

And people who weren't around don't know that even though not all the strengths of his game were fully reflected by his numbers, he was putting up big numbers in the process too. During the slowest, most defensive-focused eras in bball history:

1999: 23-12-3 with 3 blocks/game in the playoffs, 27-14-2 and 2 blocks/game in the finals
2000: gets injured before playoffs
2001: 24-15-4 with 3 blocks/game in the playoffs
2002: 28-14-5 with 4 blocks/game in the playoffs
2003: 25-15-5 with 3 blocks/game in the playoffs, 25-17-5 and 5 blocks/game in the finals
2004: 22-11-3 with 2 blocks/game in the playoffs
2005: 24-12-3 with 2 blocks/game in the playoffs, 21-14-2 and 2 blocks/game in the finals
2006: 26-11-3 with 2 blocks/game in the playoffs

U underrate Duncan’s defense he was elite until his retirement not any big could anchor them like that c’mon

And Duncan was still a bucket in the low post and skilled passer :shaq2:

HIS DEFENSE WAS GOOD ON 2014, BUT HAD DEF FALLEN OFF BY THAT POINT. HIS LATERLY MOVEMENT WAS LACKING COMPARED TO WHAT IT ONCE WAS, AND HE WAS OVERALL SLOWER.

HE WAS GOOD THAT SEASON, NO DOUBT, BUT FARRR FROM THE DUNCAN WE KNEW.....WAS IT ENOUGH TO WIN A CHIP? YES. BUT THAT'S THE POINT.

How is it a "great situation in SA" when his #2 option for most of those years were guys like Sean Elliot, Antonio Daniels, or a rookie TP?

Shaq went to an LA team loaded with all-stars, had Phil come on board, and had Kobe become an MVP candidate. That was a MUCH better situation than Duncan's. Heck, even Shaq's situation in Orlando with Penny, Horace Grant, and a team full of elite shooters was better than what Duncan had at the same age.
I'm talking about his first two-three years. He walked into a team with a former MVP (on the decline but still) and surefire HOF. Most top picks don't have that luxury. I don't think Shaq was insinuating in the video that he didn't have the help beside him, but that C-Webb was the guy without, which can be disputed.

KG isn't as good as TD but at least it's a more reasonable conversation that freaking Webber.

I can't see who you're talking to but I'd bet anything it's someone who calls Bosh a "HOF player" or "top 5 big" during those years and yet is daring to say that Timmy was a "role player" when Duncan killed him both Finals.

If Ray doesn't make that shot, Duncan would have been Finals MVP in 2013. And he had as good an argument in 2014 as Parker and Kawhi did, they were all three essential.

U BEYOND FAKE.....AND I KNOW U SEE THIS NICK.

Goatganda the pearl of Africa
Chris Webber did NOTHING better than TD

Anyone that ever watched both of them knows this

Durant said Kawhi was a system player in Pops system as well, and we know how that turned out

yep hell I actually think the spurs held back duncan he never attempted 20 shots a game, never played more than 34 mpg after he was 28

DONT EVEN REPLY TO THAT WEIRDO....ALL HIS ARGUMENTS ARE 100% AGENDA DRIVEN AND HE HAND PICKS NUMBERS TO BACK THEM UP SO THAT DUMMYS THINK HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S TALKIN BOUT. NOT AS SLICK AS HE THINKS.
