Your logic makes no sense. Shenmue was on Dreamcast and Xbox, why does it make sense for Shenmue 3 to be on PlayStation to you? And if Sony gamers were the crowd left out of Shenmue in the past, it would make sense to release it on PC and eventually Xbox as well. Since its been generations since Shenmue 2 released and Dreamcast don't exist anymore, it can release anywhere and it be a good thing for gamers that are not fanboys

KH3 you seem to think whoever played that franchise only has played or owned a PlayStation. You don't seem to understand that particular game with its Disney ties pulled in a generation of gamers. I personally never played it because I'm not some faq, I was in the streets probably selling crack at the time kh1 released my girl can't wait for kh3 tho...

I bought Shenmue 2, had to get the euro version because it wasn't released in America

I recall not liking it as much as the first, didn't even finish it. I don't know if it was the game or maybe my system died? I just remember Not being impressed.

So... I expect nostalgia at first. Then by the time people get to part 2 I expect most posters to be like fukk SHENMUE

There's a wrong with the game but it still nails immersion better than most other open world games even til this day. It's one of those games you gotta play blind to get the most out of though, I find that using a guide pretty much ruins the experience.

Got to wasn't the issue. I lost my save when I was 90% done thinking it was backed up in the cloud when I got my ps pro (it only auto backups saves on the primary ps4 console which is my son's). Hard to restart after being so close to being done. Only around 45% done on the restart. I'll get to it when I get to it. Same with my Arkham Knight save (lost that too).

Never owned a Dreamcast back then, as I’ve been Sony all the way since PS1, but always wanted to play this, so I copped this day 1 for the 4.

After 2 hours of playing, it became apparent that I wasted my money, because this is too much of a chore to play today as an adult, due to the real time mechanics , lack of things to do to pass time waiting, and terrible controls. Back then, I would have loved it though, so I can see why it’s so highly praised by many who got to experience it originally.

I passed on this. Sounds like I made the right choice. I never owned a Dreamcast because I didn't take Sega seriously at that point and I didn't get the Xbox game so I just flat out never played this. Might be better to watch a YouTube video for a plot recap before 3 if it's even a worthwhile game.

Ok...first With Shenmue. Not many people will play thru Shenmue 1 and 2 then be anticipating Shenmue 3. Those who played it back when can't wait. The truth is you can play play Shenmue 1-2 on pc as well so I believe the fanboy in you forgot that while saying it made no sense. It's very likely to land on Xbox at a later time so that would be the reason for releasing the first 2 now on Xbox as well. If you're a fanboy then you'll act like what I just said isn't the norm

As for the kh comment its an rpg, name the rpg that requires you to play the previous game to enjoy the next one, I'll wait. Now, you're talking about myself and anyone who hasn't played it. I didn't forget Shenmue 1 and 2 being on PC.

Many KH fans didn't play the handheld games. If you skip a game in the KH series you will be lost. Again, you haven't played it so you can't comprehend.

Go look. That’s the whole reason why I was thinking of doIng it. I was so far in the shyt that starting all the way over was some bullshyt. Ask @Leasy , I erased all of my OG PS4 shyt when I traded it in for the Pro thinking my saves were backed up. I have my account activated on my kids ps4 as the primary console so I only need to pay for one ps plus fee. I didn’t know the catch was that the primary console is the only one that auto backups saves, not the secondary. It has to manually be backed up on that. I lost EVERYTHING

That was one of the big jokes during the pro launch. Lost all my saves.

I like the concept and don't want to go into part 3 blind so I'll inevitably get this down the line, but I'm currently juggling Mafia 3 and AC Unity -- both of which are surprisingly getting more enjoyable the more I play, especially Mafia 3 with it's A+ story. Spiderman is legit around the corner in a few days and that's getting play on day one. Red Dead 2 after that...and I still haven't started Become Human or GoW I'll wait on this one but I'm glad it's available as I missed out on it when it was on the Dreamcast.
