I agree with pretty much all the posts here.
The waiting around and outdated controls bother me, but some reason I still enjoying the game

I guess it's because I've always wanted to cop this and also add to the fact this is how Sega made a spiritual successor in the Yakuza series and I'm a sucker for these types of games.

Engaged in the story so far.

Confirmed this game has absolutely aged like milk. Controls are atrocious, the voice acting is terrible, (the audio quality of the voice is terrible as well), the camera is piss poor, movement is stiff and checking every single drawer gets tedious incredibly fast especially since most of them are pointless and the camera makes it chore to get them all quickly.

Fukk something told me to cop a ps4 again this weekend; sold it as I have no time to play.....But need another hobby outside of weed and p*ssy pause

There's a wrong with the game but it still nails immersion better than most other open world games even til this day. It's one of those games you gotta play blind to get the most out of though, I find that using a guide pretty much ruins the experience.

Never owned a Dreamcast back then, as I’ve been Sony all the way since PS1, but always wanted to play this, so I copped this day 1 for the 4.

After 2 hours of playing, it became apparent that I wasted my money, because this is too much of a chore to play today as an adult, due to the real time mechanics , lack of things to do to pass time waiting, and terrible controls. Back then, I would have loved it though, so I can see why it’s so highly praised by many who got to experience it originally.

The Yakuza praise is amazing to me I remember buying the OG for PS2 and feeling like me and my homeboy were the only two in the world that liked this game.

I am going to buy the Shenmue for ps4 I never played the OG despite having a dreamcast and report back in like 2 years. With Yakuza kiwami2 and spider-man and red dead plus I still need to actually open my god of war its going to be a minute
