WHAT IS THESE ISLAMIC PIPE LINE YALL MUSLIMS GOT
Saudi's don't give a fukk about Mecca, its all about keeping their power and monarchy going. All Mecca is for them is tourist money.
And by "Saudis" I mean ruling family, not the people.
WHAT IS THESE ISLAMIC PIPE LINE YALL MUSLIMS GOT
You think one of the wealthiest people on the planet, pushing their poison brand of Islam and fearing Iranian dominance in the region doesn't hold any weight in this?
I'd be willing to bet that the Saudis fear Iran more than Israel does. You think these cats want to see Mecca under Shia control? It would be a cold day in hell before they take that shyt. Now you got Iran building nukes (their right IMO), getting funding from Russia and China, funding various proxy groups....and you think the Saudis are just smiling at this?
Come on.
Mecca/Medina and oil is HOW they keep their power and monarchy going. Both would be under the threat of Iran is how they are probably viewing it. On my opinion of course but the leaks and history shows that it wouldn't be the first time.
BS propaganda.. Saudi's are more under threat from their own citizens than they are of Iran. Thats why they just pledged billions to Egyptian Army for taking out MBrotherhood, because if MB had succeeded then Saudi citizens would have taken to the streets to try and overthrow the Royal Saudi thug family.
Okay buddy, go talk to a few Saudis and see where they stand on the issue. I hear it directly from a lot of my saudi friends who are at my uni. The level of discontent in Saudi Arabia is much lower than these other Gulf states, mainly because the Royal Family reinvests a lot of the money back into the population (school, medicine, welfare, etc..) and doesn't have split sects/secular groups to deal with.
Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not defending that piece of shyt country and family but they aren't really fearing an uprising, at least from what I hear. Compare that Bahrain, where the shyte majority population is basically treated like garbage and lives in near poverty. That's why there was an uprising there. The House of Saud dont have to fear that. Obviously, if it was up to me, I would love if the Saudi people rebelled but that's neither here or there.
When you have the Saudi King essentially groveling on State Department cables for a preemptive strike on Iran, that's not something you can scoff over. The Royal family also were very eager to support Iraq in the 80s (along with the US,Kuwait) and then begged for help when Saddam was threatening their sovereignty.
Again, this is not me saying that Israel doesn't have a dog in the fight and strategic assets it would like to accomplish in all of this, but to me this has the Saud/Iran fingerprints all over it.
KSA actually has a persecuted but significant Shia minority (about 15% of the population) that live in the Eastern Province -- which coincidentally is also where most of the county's oil reserves is located.
Ahh, I did not know that and it was never mentioned to me. Thank you.
KSA's antagonism towards Iran is rooted in their paranoia that the Iranians have been fomenting discontent among the Shia in the Eastern Prov when it's their sectarianism, repression and economic neglect that's responsible for their longstanding grievances.
there's also great potential for Arabian women (I refuse to refer to the population as "Saudi") to rise up and stage their own intifada.
No.
Assad and the Syrian army are doing a great job of taking out the terrorists, and bringing peace and stability back to Syria. They do not even need our help.
) and I put "yes" but not for an extended military campaign.
