No I don't know what you're talking about, winning 41 games and being the 8th seed every year is tanking???come on breh, just admit it, with the exception of one or two year, you guys have been basically tanking since AI days....

Give teams that aren't complete shyt a shot at top talent. Give top talent a shot at teams that are actually competent. Make it an actual lottery, and teams will be forced to adapt. Can't knock the Sixer's hustle for playing the system as it is.
They're actually not that far off right now..........they're gonna get two top 5 picks this summer.
The sixers or any other team that is being bad should only mean one thing to fans
Free wins on the schedule.
Just take the wins and add em to the total b.
If you're a team in the middle just accept that you ain't winning shyt and keep it moving. Or pick a new team that's winning already
Adapting will not occur until the player pool improves.
Here's the problem with your logic:
Philly's issue isn't that they're drafting poorly. Besides Embiid (and that's a whiff anyone woulda made) their drafting has been good and their asset collecting has been good too. The coaching isn't necessarily at fault either.
Rule of thumb: if you're picking in the lottery, most likely your team is incompetent. If you've lost for a long time, you're incompetent, unlucky or both. Some of these teams that have been getting praised for how they're constructing their teams are still stupid; we just give them a pass because by the looks of it the suffering might end, but for all you know Philly makes it back to the playoffs in 2 years. They're in the East. It's not the most impossible scenario. I just can't shyt on a franchise for NOT trying to be mediocre. They think a title in Philly is a realistic goal. That's more than what others can say.
So they are going to get these top picks and add them to the top picks they have and then they are going to just magically start winning games?
They are just going to skip the whole "mark jackson" phase of changing the culture of a team and jump right in to winning?
The players they draft are actually going to stay their?
They get an opportunity. It's called the lottery. Hell, some squads in the middle won it and all y'all did was complain and cry conspiracy for Chicago and Cleveland. So in other words...fukk a fair, sensible system that doesn't punish teams for trying, either accept going nowhere or just be a bandwagon fan.
Exactly. You take hope and "the process" out of the equation and you take away the shield that many of these shytty GMs hide behind. You can't say "bu...bu...but we don't wanna be a treadmill team" if you eliminate the treadmill and give teams that are run well but just unfortunate a greater chance to be fortunate and eliminate any benefit from sucking. I am not mad at Philly, nor did I imply that they drafted poorly. My only point has been that teams that are in the middle should get more opportunities at top talent that could possibly propel them into being contenders. You shouldn't have to bottom out or be in a glamorous market in order to get a shot at the Lebron's or Duncan's of the world.
Isn't that something everyone overlooks when y'all daydream about future draft picks? The Pelicans suck and yet I'm seeing shyt like "they need a top 5 pick to get Davis more help."So they are going to get these top picks and add them to the top picks they have and then they are going to just magically start winning games?

LA would have to pick 6th or worse.
If LA loses their pick, it's gonna be earmarked for Kris Dunn unless they can trick another team into giving them a third top 10 pick

Next year: "they need another top 5 pick to get Davis more help."
The Spurs got rewarded for injuries decemating their roster and drafted Duncan. The Cavs got rewarded with Lebron. But I think the lottery is also rigged but that's another thread.
Sadly, the Nerlens / Okafor team is more fun to watch than any Sixer team featuring Iguodala. Obviously you wish you could get MCW back, and have hit on Embiid, but this is better than what we got for years after the departure of AI.
It wouldn't be a bold move if people didn't question it. Mind you, we do play defense.
Knicks make one good draft pick after years of being a joke and people wanna talk crap on the Sixers for blowing it up?
Forget that crap, Cleveland should be a dynasty, getting LeBron, then all those #1 overalls, and then getting LeBron back. They suck.
Sixers have a plan.
