Two slave movies and a reboot is our best offering? Black Panther is something different, i'll give you that. White people alienate us all the time and it works for them. Look at all those blockbuster titles being pumped out every year with little to no black people in them.
Kevin Hart and The Rock had a blockbuster hit

theres this movie i'm betting you didn't see

Exactly

I don't mind those type of black movies.

Most of those are good movies too.. From Boyz in the Hood, to Friday, Baby Boy, The Wood, Lottery Ticket, ATL, Dope, etc.

At least most of us can relate

I see the point of the thread tho. Tired of black people only being in the hood or something. Most black movies do have a certain theme.

But like i said, its why most black actors look up to Will, Denzel, Idras, etc. theyre in big movies not necessarily about black struggles, slavery, hoods, etc.

Its why i fukked with Creed heavy, abd any movie with black folk doing different shyt
.
Exactly! Flight is one of my favorite movies from Denzel why? Because it was different and damn good at the same time. Denzel, Idris, Will, and a couple others are proof that we don't have to tell the same ol story all the time about selling drugs in the hood for people to buy tickets to the movie

Those aren't normal or completely black focused though.. Despite black leads and being great movies.

I see what OP is saying though. Its why im looking forward to Black Panther as well. Ill be the first in line for a black superhhero thats also an African King and a majority RESPECTED black cast with majority black actors and directors

its not too many black filmmakers out there

Black Hollywood" is literally under a hundred people and
the majority are actors

we can say Kevin Hart hustle is top notch
but lets not get it twisted he's being pushed/backed up by Hollywood
