You called her a quitter. if she pulled out you'd have called her a quitter back then. She showed up because she thought she could give it a go...

When i used to be a regular employee back in the day i'd show up to work when i was off and there were times where i just had to go home because i tried and couldn't do it. Same thing.

I mean she did quit :yeshrug:

The reason why she did doesn't change the fact that she technically did quit. Thing is, she should have never been put in that situation in the first place where she had to quit in the middle of competition when it should have been obvious based on comments that she didn't want to go.

Read her comments before the Olympics and tell me does it sound like someone who actually wanted to participate and go beforehand.

I figured. That's a lot of pressure. But you gotta look out for numero uno. Fukk their feelings.

We've been telling Naomi Osaka to sit out tournaments and focus on her mental health, so it's only fair people that people told Biles the same thing from the beginning when it was obvious she didn't want to participate. It was obvious even Osaka didn't even want to participate yet still felt obligated to because it was her own home country.

did Jordan quit when his father died? Did kobe quit when he decided that he didn't wanna shoot the entire half against the Suns? did LeBron quit when he had cramps? did LeBron quit when he had a mysterious "injury" against the Celtics in 2010?

Just let me know if they are all quitters..

He's not wrong at all. We treat men and women differently when it comes to mentioning mental health issues while picking and choosing the stance to take.

Look at how different The Coli treats Naomi Osaka's mental health issues compared to Kevin Love's who The Coli loves to crack jokes about every chance that they get. Nikkas on here flat out told Kyrie to abide by the CBA he agreed to in talking to the media, but defend Naomi Osaka not wanting to talk to the media herself.
Men have higher expectations and rightfully so. It’s the penalty of leadership.

Saying “You act like a girl” is a pejorative towards young men for a reason.

I got you.....

Jordan did not quit. He retired, so it's a difference. Jordan quitting on his team would have been him showing up the next season knowing his heart wasn't into it and then deciding at some point during the season that he just couldn't do it and walk out. In that instance, he would have been better off not showing up at all as it would have been fairly obvious to everyone that

Kobe quit on his team against the Suns just as Lebron quit on his team during the Dallas series. People have talked about those instances for years and yes they did quit on their teammates. Let's call it what it is. You know they quit, so don't sit here and pretend otherwise.

Even then you gotta do what's best for you and your own mental health instead worrying about what other people think. At the end of the day, the people talking shyt and telling you what you need/should do can't and won't do shyt when things hit the fan and you have a breakdown. All they will be able to do is offer their support mainly out of obligation because they know deep down they helped contribute to the problem in the first place. Sound similar?

It's the exactly situation with Simone Biles now where people ignored the signs that she was having mental health issues and were more focused on the glory of her dominating the Olympics.

You forget that he showed up out of shape for the last 17 games of the '95 season and they got they head caved in by Orlando? That was a disservice to the team.. He had a couple very good games but otherwise he wasn't there.

It's still a completely different set of circumstances where Kobe and Bron just flat out quit on their team because of frustration and the hell of it.

And one more.. did kyrie quit on the Nets? He left several different times.. his answer was always "what i'm doing is bigger than a game" this was all during the season and even up to the playoffs.. then he got hurt again. Basketball clearly wasn't his focus at all..

Should he have just not showed up to the Nets this year and sat out?

Was the QB raped?
What does that have to do with anything? I don't recall Biles saying this was because of a past sexual assault. And I believe she has dominated in gymnastics since then, including the 2016 Olympics.

Biles admitted that the stress of competing at the Olympics, and perhaps even the accumulated burden of competing at a pandemic Olympics having lived through the past year of lockdowns and restrictions, might have finally taken their toll. Days after arriving in Tokyo, an alternate on the team tested positive for COVID-19, and another alternate was placed in isolation because she was a close contact. “Today was really stressful,” she said. “The workout this morning went okay, it was just the 5.5 hour wait—I was shaking, and barely napped. I’ve never felt like this going into a competition before. I tried to go out, have fun and after warming up in the back I felt a little better, but once I came out here, I felt, no, the mental is not there. I need to let the girls do it and focus on myself.”

So I'm not sure why you are asking about sexual assault in my hypothetical?
