And Simone couldn't beat out the competition in Tokyo.
Simone was wearing a GOAT sticker on her Olympic uniform and seemed in good spirits prior to her performance. The bigger issue here is why don’t athletes receive adequate counseling to deal with potential losses. I can imagine the pressure on her, and it’s so easy to gas up athletes when they are winning but the crash and burn from losing must be something else.

I think Simone Biles should be supported in her decision. If she's not mentally there then it is what it is. I wonder if the same support would be shown to others in the same situation though?

There is a huge difference in saying what she did was fukked up in regards to letting the team down and on the other side she is a national embarrassment and a stain upon society like these white supremacists are saying.
I dont for a second believe that her mental state would have caused her to land directly on her head and shatter her spinal cord so she had to bow out for safety reasons like a lot of yall saying. I think its a lot easier to front run when the team is stacked so there is less pressure on you as opposed to when you need to be the reason the team wins and the shyt causes you to panic. Take a field goal kicker who nailing them bytches from 50 all year long when the team is up, but then in the playoffs they cant hit a 30 yarder for the win.
What you don't seem to understand isHow do you know it was the judges that caused her mental lapse??? Because in the post interviews she mentioned not being mentally there after performing her practice routines.

Simone Biles is the greatest gymnastics athlete of all time. If she says she needed to withdraw for her mental health, that's all I need to hear. Its called giving your people the benefit of the doubt (like CACs do all the time for their own). All this chatty patty bullshyt is completely unnecessary and makes outside people not respect you. As the father of a competitive gymnast, the mental aspect is just as important as the physical aspect. You lose your focus during a difficult skill and you could end up in the hospital.
Go back and watch the vault she did before she stopped. She lost herself in mid-air to the point she didn’t even do the full twist. You could see the fear in her face when she realized she f’ed up. And that wasn’t even a terribly difficult vault for her standard. I would never make a gymnast do something if their mental is screwed up… you’re asking for a disaster to happen.
