It's the inner strength..
You know in NY they act like Wu Tang, Mobb Deep, Rakim, KRS, Slick Rick and others ever existed...
I can't remember the last time Future got his shyt played on the Bay Area hip hop radio station
And I bet if Cole could choose to rep NY over Bumville, he would. But Cole is a humble cat so he wouldn't do his birth place like that.
Only ones that get played routinely these days are Rae Shroomer or whatever the fukk theyre called. Yung Thug doesn't even get his shyt played in the Bay like that and he's suppose to be the one with the most buzz?
And how many records are they selling?
There's no region running the rap game right now.
like who?If there is no region running the rap game right now, why is everyone flocking to Atlanta to get a buzz?
like who?
which worthy rappers are going to ATL and how many of them have succeed and not flop?
Big Sean
Drake
Kendrick
Cole
Q
which one of them have flocked to ATL to get buzz? If you say French Montana, he's another flop.
ATL is only good for turn up music. They only get played in the club.Nicki Minaj for one.... She went to Atlanta and got with Gucci to get hot
Drake has been feeding off Atlanta talent for years now, Migos, Future, Makkonen,2 Chainz etc.
YG was sitting on the shelf at Def Jam,cause he couldn't get a buzz outside of Cali til he went to Atlanta.
Keep acting like Atlanta isn't the fast track to get on.....There is a good chance whatever song is popular on the radio.... was hot in Atlanta first
ATL is only good for turn up music. They only get played in the club.
Only some of Drakes early music is southern influenced and it's not ATL, more Houston sound than ATL. But for the most part, Drake and OVO have their own sound and niche. And most of YG's hits are Bay influenced produced by DJ Musty. Nicki did go down there to get hot initially, but that was 4-5 years ago when they were still somewhat popping and selling a little bit of record. No worthy mc is flocking to ATL to get hot these days because their not popping.
They only get played in the club.... cause that's where people listen to music.... the same things people listen to in the club, they listen to on the radio....and in their cars....and at home.
YG's first big hit... is with Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan.....after he jumped on board with CTE.
Trinidad James, RHQ, Young Thug, Makkonen,2 Chainz,K Camp,Future,Que,Young Scooter, OG Maco, Migos have all gotten on in recent Years.... all happen to have done it in Atlanta, cause Atlanta is the gateway to getting on.
If Atlanta wasn't what it currently is...Why haven't you seen this replicated in any other city?
Rappers themselves even admit that people run there trying to get on....why are you trying to deny this?
You gotta ask someone from there brehIf they putting the best music out why does nobody have longevity?
Why are they never getting pushed instead of the annual strip club ringer though? I want to believe a city that Black is producing some solid hip hop artists.
He's from Stone Mountain, ATL suburbs basically. He and Raury are two newer cats from ATL who are definitely OutKast influenced.Isn't Childish Gambino from Atlanta?

How you explain Joey Bada$$? If you're a fan of a genre of music, you always revisit the classics. New jack Rock-n-Roll fans always fukk with the classics.Donald Glover is 31, so he grew up listening to Outkast....
I don't understand how cats are upset that rappers in their early 20's are supposed to be influenced by something that didn't have that much influence when they were 3 and 4 years old?
Ska hah....ska ha.......Is that they be sayin?
When them fools used to all get on posse cuts together
Got a copy of Soul Food and Still Standing still in the wrapGonna give my son them shyts one day, hope he don't hit me with the

Out of that whole list, only 2chains gets played regularly in the Bay radio station. The rest are strictly club rappers. That's why they only perform at clubs. They're not popular enough to have their own tour where they're performing infront of 8,000 people every other night.
Migos? Camp? OG Maco
I don't even know what Young Scooter looks like.![]()
