Before Kamala even officially lost. I said she was the better person. But knew Trump would win.

Look I realize that you are MAGA, which is your right but don't try to convince people that the clown prince that you love is not fugging up royally. Him and his cabinet officials are attempting to block food assistance for the poor. They have shut down the Federal government and laid off thousands of employees which is impacting people and businesses all across the Country. They have imposed a gigantic backdoor sales tax on American citizens and businesses (tariffs). They have invaded cities with troops, simply because the Cities and States have Democratic elected officials. He is pardoning criminals each and everyday, including January 6th defendants some of whom have committed new felonies. He has manipulated the stock market on numerous occasions to benefit him and his crooked family and friends. He has pushed for interest rate cuts despite his tariffs raising inflation, which is incredibly irresponsible. On and on and on.

So don't blow smoke up people asses trying to convince them that the urnge idiot that you love is not harming people and screwing up this Country.

IF dems had simply voted to re-open the government before the shutdown, the same people would be complaining that they didn't fight Trump, were weak, etc. There is no point in engaging this convo without pointing out a major segment of people exist solely to complain about democrats. The same people who told you there's no difference between Kamala and Trump are now crying. Some are literally being indicted by the DOJ based on bullshyt (Kat Abughazaleh lmao).

I'm not going to deny Kamala wasn't a good candidate in hindsight, and was put in a bad situation by Biden (and herself). But I will not engage with anyone who saw an amoral, sociopathic criminal running for president (again) and said "whatever, doesn't matter." A guy who got hundreds of thousands of people killed during a pandemic because he couldn't grapple with reality. Who surrounds himself with criminals and sycophants who will do whatever he wants. That's the guy a lot of people said they didn't care whether he got back in office. Now a lot of them are getting purged from academia/campus, can't get back into the country, have been deported, and now have SNAP cut off.

I hope the lesson here is that the domestic power of the presidency largely boils down to whether you decide to let things break or not. Presidents have their hands tied domestically when it comes to new policies/laws but old shyt? They can fukk that up with impunity, as Trump is showing. And going forward there needs to be an understanding that this is not a popularity contest, or voting for your favorite band/artist. Even if you don't like both candidates there is always a CLEAR better option based on a variety of facets (courts, enforcing laws, DOJ, etc). Good luck fellas.
