when someone is truly not operating in good faith, don't waste your time.

Replace the ACA subsidies so families aren't getting hammered with these ridiculously jacked up health care premiums and I'm sure the Dems will agree to listen in good faith on their end.

They budged on that Big Bullshyt Bill and got hammered so no more caving in.

Until then

ironically you're responding to someone who doesn't know what a good faith argument is.

you're dishonestly framing how this is going down :yeshrug: i don't know why. my best guess is a sense of shame that Dems are letting voters go without?

but the reality is that Dems are fighting Republicans for ACA subsidies, they they did not win the right to in november 2024, by shutting down the government, because it's the only card they have to play. why so allergic to owning what's happening? why is it even a bad thing, if the Dems are on the side of right?

i thought people wanted Dems to fight :dead: well, they're fighting

Yeah credit to Schumer that motherfukker is a sneaky bytch. Though I honestly don't think democrats assumed the republicans would let this go this far.

The only way democrats lose on this is if they blink. Everyday this goes on the republicans look worse and worse.
You know, this is true lmao
I owe him an apology myself.

I totally didn’t see the vision either cuz I didn’t think it would get this far! But yea. Letting the Republicans paint themselves into the corner was the move. This is literally all on them.

Dems gotta stand strong on this.

your stars are but dust on my shoes

Not sure if yall are up on the New York Times -The Daily podcasts, but they do excellent, short podcasts that examine events from the previous day. They had one this morning about the effects of this SNAP issue on West Virginians. These ‘billies are hurting. And GOOD! Fuk this inbred trash. One billy on the podcast had the nerve to say “ the democrats started this shutdown and are rich and can afford to eat and we are suffering. That ain’t fare(sic).” Meanwhile yo daddy is lapping it up at golf outings and parties. Fuk. Them.

I'm so tired of my taxes going to these types.

It's not dishonest framing to point out who's holding the country hostage. The side demanding cuts to people's health coverage is the side causing the shutdown.
