it's the facts of the situation. the current bill, to fund the government on november 1st, funds food stamps. 52/53 republicans have voted for it. democrats will not

what's your aversion to just spelling out what's happening here? if the Dems punk Republicans, and make them fall back and fund both of these things, that would be a huge victory, but that IS what's happening if the Dems wanted to fund the ACA at covid-era levels, didn't they have any obligation to win the 2024 election?

Im actually enjoy watching cac bigots swim in racist revelry that will end up hurting their own more than the others they stereotype. Saw it happen during COVID when the same folks were happy believing it was a Black disease and pushed for being maskless which ended up hurting them in droves. No we don't, the current government budget literally spends more than tax revenue, that is why the government functions in a deficit.
That said while I agree this is pennies compared to the real issues driving spending, which is social security and medicare/medicaid entitlements, the notion that there is enough money is false.

That said the GOP will be presenting a bill to fund SNAP and placing the ball in the Dems court if they will accept or reject.
Now the Dems really should get out ahead of this and push it themselves and make the GOP be on record voting against it, but they aren't, so now if you are mad about SNAP recipients not getting money its a choice the DNC made period.
