This tech startup bubble gonna burst soon. Too many apps blowing up overnight with overvalued market caps with little profit to back it up. At least with FB and Google both companies have a solid business model of revenue and plans for the future for expansion. What do these little apps have?
Have to agree with you there, it's the dot com bubble burst all over again.

Seems to be peak valuation :manny:

The owner isn't sitting on some next level shyt, its just that hundreds of millions of people use it. Gimmicky apps like this fall off all the time.
agreed. however last I heard was the $10B valuation that was put on it after a round of funding.

still...I dont see any viability in such a price tag from a financial standpoint. These tech companies ala Google just have too much money to toss around I guess.

It's a clever tool that could be used for advertising. But $10B? Nah. No way I can see this company sustaining a reasonable profit of $200M or revenues of $1B at any point in the future so that shyt is asinine

Imagine what Instagram would be worth if dude didn't sell it for 1 billion when Facebook came knocking....
Meh, a good portion of that deal was probably in stock. I think it mayve even took place when FB stock was in the 20s or 30s. It's touched 80 since so its safe to say that dude made a lot more than a Billion in the deal. Thats what folks forget.

Edit....yep deal was in April 2012 and the stock has doubled since.

yup. This is why dude is a fool to reject em. Better off taking the money and stocks then tying some incentives based on future performance. If anything try to retain an executive position in the subsidiary and :eat:
