Lol why wouldn't it be?

You want people to be able to punch cats and claim they were aiming for the ball?

People be like "I'd never put my kids in football look at all the CTE, life altering injuries, job security, pension etc." then also "OMG this shyt is so soft, fukc Goddell". Not saying that a punch in the gut or throat will lead to a major injury, but it's dirty.

And they are obviously just targeting people doing it too aggressively i.e. like Campbell. If anything it's to avoid fighting, cause if I'm a receiver and someone keeps on punching me, I might black out and punch him back.

I don’t have a problem with this. If you miss a punch out and punch a player in the head or stomach, or worse below the belt, why should that not be penalized simply because you said “oh I was going for the football?” And the penalty is a personal foul, not an ejection or anything.

In basketball if you go for a block but knock someone in the head while he’s in the air, there’s no “my bad I was going for a block.” It’s a flagrant.
