The simultaneous exaltation and plea copping is what gets me. He won by himself in 2006 but yet every season since then, including a couple with Lebron is all on everyone else. If he can win by himself why couldnt' he win with a female Bron and Bosh? Say what you will about Bron or numerous other superstars but they got the credit for the good and blame for the bad. Somehow one serendipitous run a decade ago has made this nikka Wade teflon.
He had 3 1st round exits prior to LBJ getting there, but he already had a title and 2 conference Finals appearances a Finals MVP and 3 1st round advancements prior to LBJ. Even if you acknowledge Wades failure prior to LBJ, at WORST Wade has a championship, finals MVP, Finals appearance, 2 conference Finals appearances, NBA scoring champion, a whole GANG of all-NBA selections, a whole GANG of all-star appearances, and that's all in a 7yr window of his career prior to LBJ getting there. He did before LBJ, period. He did it, he's done it, it's DONE. 2006 was a long time ago, but so was 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Why put whiteout on part of that 7yr window? As a Wade fan, I acknowledge Wades 1st round exits, his failures, his failure to get Miami to the playoffs last year, but I'm not gonna put Whiteout over his back-to-back conference Finals appearances. I'm gonna look at his pre-LBJ career in it's entirety.
Let's just put it this way. LBJ has done more in the post-season with less help, and Wade has done more in the post-season with the same amount of help. HE WON A TITLE with the 2nd highest scoring teammate averaging 13ppg. And he got Miami to a conference final in the 2005 playoffs without Shaq(Shaq getting injured in the previous series).
LBJ Post-season>Wade Post-season overall. LBJ's gotten to the Finals twice without Wade. And was the catalyst for getting Miami to the Finals in those 5yrs. But this hypothetical game can go soooo deep. After all, both players are currently in the playoffs, and both players have had post-season success without each other.
