He's not doing his best Michael Rapaport impression around this

Mans is washed and married with like 5 Jewish kids — literally. Time to go be a fukkin father full time

He overachieved with Desus for sure and I guess they had a good run. But the stuff got super stale towards the end of the vice show.

Maybe if they took that format to showtime it woulda still worked but Desus gay ass was pulling the weight for both of them. And there’s but so much or Mero’s laughing you can take.

It got bad at the end of Vice because they didn't have any writers, and they had to come up with shyt 5 days a week with no breaks. The boys asked for a holiday break and Vice told them no. Asked for more pay, they said no. They have been doing that format for years, with complex as well

They should’ve worked harder on the “brand” and finding ways to reeeeeeeeally pull in $ if money was an issue. No reason why they couldn’t have gotten writers and designers for “cheap” and basically made a whole fake ass clothing line.

You got unknown cats doing more with less manpower.

These guys aren’t dumb. Their schtick had a finite life span and that’s when they should’ve been working 24 hrs a day so they could cash out or get a fukking Netflix deal. Both of them combined could prolly barely be one actual writer but you can’t tell me they didn’t have the pull to assemble a team. It ain’t that hard to poach people if you pay them decent with the promise that the shyt will grow.

Oh and these dudes always being faded all the damn time stopped being a good look.

You gotta be like future and lie about all the drugs you do but don’t actually do them.

?

They did cash out though. They were on Showtime for a while, and interviewed some of the most important people on Earth. They had writers on ST, and it did lose a little bit of it's edge, but it was a good watch twice a week. The Vice situation was basically Vice trying to punk them to take less across the board when they didn't have to. Desus and Mero went from a crate and a Complex show to interviewing Presidents. They did okay man.

They won't be missed. It was comedy for non New Yorkers who get their impressions about NY from social media.

The light skinned one is a Dominic00n cosplaying as urban while he goes home to his Jewish wife and kids.
Thank you.

I never got these cats at all. I've lived here my whole life & they come off as try hard to me.

Those fakkits were never "cool" for ANY minute. Square ass cornballs, like Akademiks, who gained a following, and notoriety from other weirdos. I don't know em my name, but one of those bozos still needs hands and feet put to his face, for that slick shyt he was talking on black ppl, a couple months ago. Good riddance to those fukboys. :camby:

EDIT: I got an unopened bottle of Moet, on deck for when some catches that scumbag Akademiks slippin somewhere, and he gets Zack TV'd, too.
Funny coli brehs always swear calling people square is not a diss but here you are associating it with being uncool and a corn ball. You dudes always tell on yourselves.

Wild that people say that their audience is cacs but I remember going to a live show in Detroit a few years ago and it was probably one of the most diverse comedy shows I personally been to. Dudes should have went indy when they left VICE and ate of pateron and merch.
Facts. Everyone came out to the show I went to. They have an incredible reach. I hope the Showtime deal was worth giving up everything the Podcast built.

Breh they never had their edge on showtime but they got a little bag. They flamed out at the end of the vice show and the podcast was suffering by then.

No way they should be in this position right now if business was being handled well. Not saying it was bad business but more shouldve come from this thing. But maybe they’ve just reached the end of their road as a duo.

Mero peaked and overachieved. Desus is salvageable and when he comes out the closet, gay Hollywood will look out for him for sure — just a matter of how zesty he’s willing to play things.

Those guys came up from the Bodega Boys era. Outside of an appearance on Taxstone, which was hilarious, never found them to be funny.
And even on that appearance, it was clear that they wouldn't laugh, or make fun of certain groups....but the there was a green light on everybody else.

At any rate, they made good money during their run,and put their people on.
I never watched this show but damn I've never seen a bigger group of haters than the Coli. Can't be happy for shyt. :scust:

Just angry & confused for the sake of it
