I don't actually know anyone with these kinds of problems. Maybe cause I'm young, so I don't know anyone with this gloom and doom forecast looming over their heads. But, I don't really think this is a thing.

www.POF.com

You'll find very quickly many women who fit the description in OP.

So sick of these types of topics:
Why aren't black people getting married?
Why are black men marrying outside their race?
Are black women undesirable?
All this shyt is so played and old.
I doubt other races sit around and debate shyt like this.

sick and tired of it too but we can't have strong communities if our men and women can form strong bonds. we need to address it other races don't cause they're doing relatively fine.

Nope, its not race specific A new book answers why it’s so hard for educated women to find dates

How would we go about solving this problem, then?

I think this is a largely a developmental issue. The real issue is that boys lag at least a year behind girls, both intellectually and socially, when it comes to brain maturity. As a result, boys don’t perform as well in school. I do think that if we essentially red-shirted boys and had them begin kindergarten a year later than girls, it would go a long way toward closing this gap. And in fact, the handful of western countries, like Switzerland and Finland, where both boys and girls start school later, tend to have smaller college gender gaps.

The other thing is that, in the years to come, I think we’re going to be hearing more about what I call “mixed-collar marriages,” which are pairings of college-educated career women married to working class, non-college educated men.

Again, maybe for other people, but not what I have lined up in July.

And again, you're talking about jobs and salaries. I'm talking about education.

People with social sciences etc. degrees aren't educated, they don't even have the math background to actually understand their own field.

They should have majored in computer science

Computer science just makes you into a higher corporate pawn. Not all that shyt, makes for an economy being reduced to a service economy where good jobs are fewer and fewer. You shouldn't be a damn genius to make a living wage.

I mean, any form of education beyond the bachelor's level is good. All that rigid STEM shyt just reduces your thinking to make money outside corporate America. especially without a worker union.

But regardless of that, these women are delusional and this article doesn't help things.

Dallas, Texas but living in Houston, Texas
No lie, when my mom found out she was dating a cac she was like, "Well he must be a millionaire. Otherwise I don't see why you are with him? They are hideous in my eyes"

How my sister turn out the way she did will always be a mystery to me. I would say its because she grew up whitewashed in Charlotte, NC... but I've heard this same excuse from plenty of women who are the furthest thing from whitewashed:francis:
Your mom a fool:mjlol:

Lmao, I feel bad that you wasted your time engaging me, because you're both totally wrong, and I don't care to talk about this more.

Please try to enjoy your day.

The thing that bothers me, you know, is like for instance, you told the story of your sister who really shouldn't be having a problem finding a guy, but I think she must have absorbed the ideals of, and not to be offensive, western feminism. Look at your family... and try to think of women in your family who aren't married (from your parent's generation). I imagine it's almost unheard of. Why is it now a thing?

No offense taken.

None of my parents generation weren't able to get married at least once. Its unheard of. If you aren't married, there must be something wrong with you.

If I may be blunt, my sister is an idiot. :deadmanny:

A very intelligent, hardworking, well-off idiot. We've introduced her to great guys, black American and Nigerian (she prefers black American to Nigerians because Nigerians are "dishonest") and she still refuses most of them. The only dating issues she has are of her own making.

My oldest brother (who is very blunt like old school naija men) straight up told her, "Your mindset is too immature for relationships. We don't want to hear about your opinion on men because you are still a child. Children shouldn't speak about things they know nothing about"

I try to be nicer to her than that tho. She feels like we all gang up on her for her :mjpls: tendencies. I still have hope she'll come to her senses. That's my fam after all, not like I can disown her if she marries a cac :manny:. I'm just praying that doesn't happen.

don't know about that book but true marraige rate among educated women are down but it's way down for educated black women:

SEX, RACE, EDUCATION AND THE MARRIAGE GAP

Marriage rates are lower among black women compared with white women, even among those with a college education. The proportion of black college graduates aged 25 to 35 who have never married is 60 percent, compared with 38 percent for white college-educated women

Sound Reasoning
Ha. Black men calling black women
Shallow. At least we still like black people.

I'm not calling black women shallow. I'm saying the article, published by a black woman's magazine, is doing a good job of reinforcing stereotypes that prevail about black women. One being that black women are shallow when it comes their dating standards.

Peace

Breh if you could see a daughter tell an old school Nigerian mom that she wants to marry a white man.

The reaction alone... :wow:
