It's shyt like this that pushes me more towards the middle. I was all for this at first but I hear very few people say their insurance prices dropped. Obama really bent us over on this one.
Luckily my job has good benefits.
you like most are looking at it wrong.
lets do the math for you. real simple.
your old crap plans that most people had. even some of those people that were contractors or folks that own their own business. they had crap plans too.
crap plans cover some things if something crazy happens. but what you never looked at is that these crap plans dont cover a lot of other things. like if you end up having to stay in the hospital for more then a couple of days. they would kick you off the plan cause you're too expensive to carry. these same crap plans would never cover anyone with a pre-existing condition. the ACA also forced the insurance companies to carry you on your parents insurance for a few more years. look at the trend with how many young adults are broke right now staying at the house trying to make ends meet fresh out of college. so thank obeezy for that for sure.
see people are comparin their old 1995 geo metro to their new 2014 ford focus. there's no comparison. of course the 2014 focus costs more. its a much better car, its more reliable. shoot it looks better and its brand spankin new.
so if you were paying $150 per month for your crap car. and you get that new car your montly will go up to $250.00 per month. but look at the difference in value you are getting. you are actually getting more bang for your buck. but just because you dont see a direct savings you cant see it. yall have to learn to pay attention to details and not just the fluff.
the crap plans most people had before the ACA were so bad. to the point yall would've done better back then with no insurance at all and just run to a county hospital if something happened. cause those plans were a waste of your money anyway. but you dont know that cause you were lucky enough to never have a serious illness.
