Welcome to NYC breh:salute:

As a Bed-Stuy representative, I'd recommend the Bed-Stuy Fish Fry if you happen to be in the neighborhood. Good food but nothing to travel all the way to Halsey St. from Queens for. Pretty sure you could find similar quality somewhere in Southside Queens:ufdup:. To the rest of my NYC brehs, I love and appreciate the anecdotes. Greatest city :noah:
You fukk with Samantha's southern quisine round your way

Also someone put up a detailed map showing all of these neighborhoods you are talking about. Nikka thinking it was the boroughs only, but y'all got so many neighborhoods within the boroughs :damn:

Nah, unless you live in the true suburbs where it's 99% white people (Fresh Meadows and everything between that and Long Island like Bayside, Douglaston, Little Neck) then nah. I've lived in a few different parts of Queens and it's always been rowdy, usually on weekends and especially in the summer.

Let me tell you right now, if you live in Ozone Park, Richmond Hill, Jamaica, or Woodhaven, you will not sleep at night. The fukking Guyanese/Trini people won't let you. They have weddings damn near every weekend and they play soca/calypso and other Indo-Carribean music from afternoon to night the other 5 days of the week. :why:

shyt be having you like Jerry at :47-1:03

NYC was originally only Lower Manhattan but it expanded, Brooklyn was a independent city, some of the Queens neighborhoods were indepedent cities too., NYC eventually annexed and amalgamated to its current form

neighborhoods in NYC definitely have strong local identities

some random maps (may or may not have all the neighborhoods)

What's "LIC" and "Uptown"? :lupe:

LIC is Long Island City, in Queens very close to Manhattan, being gentrified to tremendous levels though, luxury apartments, hipsters, all that shyt.

Uptown is upper manhattan

So Harlem and BX are closer to Manhattan and BK and Queens are on the other side of the bridge? :lupe:
Yes, but it takes longer to get to BX from Manhattan than Queens or BK from Manhattan depending on where in Manhattan you are, look at the map lol.
Where are all the Rican and Dominican mamis? Do they fukk with brehs with good hair? :lupe:
Uptown and the Bronx mostly, you'll find them scattered through other parts of NYC though.
Some are racist, some aren't.

How much is the daily train pass? :lupe:

No such thing as a daily train pass, a single ride cost 2.50 but most people I know get a monthly (112 dollars for 30 days) cause you end up saving money

Where are the hipster cacs? :scusthov:

Hipster cacs are taking over everywhere, many areas in a brooklyn, starting to come into Queens, such as LIC and Astoria, as far east as Sunnyside/woodside.
Hipster cacs also lower manhatan, all over the place
And also taking over uptown slowly

Where are the most desirable places to live outside of Manhattan? What is the most affordable part of Manhattan?

I'd suggest living in central queens along the train (flushing/corona/elmhurst area), I live in a cool spot, no hipsters, affordable. I like the spot but I could see why some people don't.

Most affordable part in Manhattan, up up town where no one wants to live.

Yes but like I said a lot of people don't know it exists because it's hidden in plain sight. You go to College Point or Bayside, take a few wrong turns, end up surrounded by mansions and you're like ":wtf: Where the fukk am I?" I remember as a kid crossing the Whitestone Bridge (bridge from queens to BX) and when you look down there's this one house that has an enormous pool and I always wondered where those houses were. Then my dad took me and showed me :mjcry:

There are neighborhood with big houses where middle to lower upperclass people live (Bayside, Forest Hills, Little Neck, Kew Gardens) but Malba is all straight up mansions.

I got a couple of spots ya ain't mention

For the early morning mangu with the works I go to the corner store on 97th and 37th

I sometimes hit up 112th and northern for empanadas

My go to truck is the one on 108 and 43rd I think. Or 42nd. Next to the hermanos unidos. All types of empanadas for $1. Jugo de chinola for $2

I get my chimis and chicken sandwiches from 108 and 38th I think. Corner store.

Most of my spots are inside of bodegas instead of actual restaurants and shyt.
