Have any of you ever just pack up a bag and leave without intentions of returning? How did it go for you?

Don't know you but just wanted to say no one can determine what kind of experience YOU would personally have by making a move like that. Your success would hinge on your own focus and will, wherever you decide to go. So if something compels you to go to Atlanta, go knowing the path becomes clear in front of you only when you decide to take the first step.


And I'm saying this as someone who had to up and leave the USA in my younger days to move abroad with no intentions of returning right away. It was scary as hell but an experience that gave me confidence like nothing else has.

When I moved to NOLA from NC, I had no intentions of returning and haven’t. 7 years later, I’ve done a lot more than I would have if I stayed in NC

I advise having a game plan though. I went with money saved and a friend that said I could stay with her until I found what I needed.

You better off going to a 2nd tier metro area like Raleigh-Durham

So what is your plan? Do you have a job? Do you have 6 months of savings to live on your own?

I would certainly like to hear your story on you moving abroad and your experience one day. This may be some good food for thought for the rest of us here.

On LinkedIn, I put that I graduated and then I got recruiters hitting me up to go teach English in Asia and pay for almost everything...

These student loans keep looking at me...I might have to go do that shyt...

I have savings. I’m in several networking groups, so job wise I’ll be fine.

I’m not going anywhere until I have a secured job with relocation costs covered or at least a visa sponsorship
