So Jerruh Jones thinks Deion Sanders would have shut down Megatron. Thoughts?

Here's something that can help settle the debate:

Whose era are we playing in here? These days, the rules HEAVILY benefit Megatron. Back in Prime's age of dominance, that wasn't the case. We saw Prime struggle at times with the P.I. rules when he played for Baltimore.

Prime. Stafford would be too shook to even throw it his way. And he aint beating the gawd deep. He'll get his on jump balls, but it wouldn't be a special day on the Goat CB

5-6 catches for 75yds.

Yes and no. Deion could def cover Megatron but if Megatron catches the ball it's a wrap. But Deion is not shutting dude down, he might just hold him to 150 yards.

I dont think people realize how good Dieon was. He shut down the entire side, QBs like Aikman STOP throwing to his side, he'd go 4 games and the ball thrown to his side once and on accident via a screen. shyt like that, he was making professional teams avoid him. It's not that CJ can't get a few jump balls, its that the QB would have to throw a perfect ball every time, because one small error and Prime Time picked it off EVERY SINGLE TIME. He was like a ball hawk. Hawks rarely miss their prey, that ball would get picked out the sky.

I just dont get you dudes. It's already been pointed out to you how Calvin has been shut down by Revis and Tilman and you still want to be outrageous? :wtf:

The fukk outta here. :rudy: Megatrons best game was for 155 yards before Sunday but the best fukking corner ever would give up 150 to him.

Deion got abused by Michael Irvin when he played for the 49ers, Calvin is bigger, stronger and faster, Deion is the best corner ever but he was a speed guy, he can catch up to Mega but Calvins size and strength are too much to compete with. Like I said Deion can cover but never in his career dealt with a receiver of Calvins physicality. Michael Irvin was close and he gave Deion that work.

Exactly. People need to stop making nostalgic, emotional arguments. No one is saying Deion wasn't great or that he couldn't compete today if he was in his prime. But he could NOT cover Megatron, end of story. You need a big physical back to cover him, and even then he'll just jump over you.

Another thing: Deion dominated when the league was a lot more physical. Megatron would have been able to get away with pushing dudes everywhere back then lmao. And if we put Deion in 2013, he wouldn't be able to do much of anything to Megatron. It's lose lose for Deion.
