Concerning the breh and his father, I have witnessed on a few occasions where older people are in so much pain they are tired of fighting and want to rest , including my own grandfather. And judging by sum of the comments other people have seen the same thing

This is what my mom said about grandma.

I saw her a month before her death.

Saw my mom for my birthday and made sure to wake my grandma up atleast to hug her...didn't know she was sick.

my great grand mother did the same. bad kidneys. got tired of going to dialysis. died on the couch in my aunts house. my mom wanted her to come live with us rior. told her hell no id be traumatized finding my grandma dead on the couch as a kid. just the thought scares me. so to my aunts house she went. I do miss her.
