Slowing the game down would be the BEST option if the Cavs had a highly effective post player(s) who can take advantage of favorable matchups (e.g. prime Duncan) and engulf multiple defenders, and/or if the Warriors had an average/bad defense. But since the Cavs don't have any elite post players, and the Warriors have multiple defenders who can defend Bron and Love in the post, as well as the best defense in the league - it's far from the best option.

Warriors rotate too well for spot up guys to get off. Korver is a shorter Frye at this point. He'd be a much greater threat on the Spurs or the Warriors even where it's not always penetrate and kick or and iso or PnR.

And the Cavs can't slow the pace down. The Warrior defense in the half court is too suffocating. Their pace is fine, they just need to not be horrified on defense and value the ball more.

Golden State is healthy this year and they have Durant. I don't think there's anything they can do besides hope their whole team catches fire, because their defense is not good enough to slow down the Warriors.

I wonder if Lue will try a Kyrie/Deron/LeBron/Love/Frye lineup at some point. Just throw a bunch of ball handlers and shooters out there and hope they hit a bunch of threes.
