I'm a Jay fan but I never had any interest in this shyt. I hardly ever use Spotify and when I do it's the free version on my Mac but if I did want premium I could get it for 4.99 due to school. I have my entire music collection of 40k songs uploaded to the Google cloud that I can access on all my apple devices plus what I buy on iTunes..why would I pay for this? The marketing of it was ridiculous and that's without seeing the actual press conference I just watched that video about this changing humanity and art the roll out was terrible and when I saw people on Twitter being charged as soon as they entered the trial I didn't even wanna test it out. The exclusive content they've been releasing gets ripped and uploaded elsewhere in minutes lol..and shyt like a video for a three year old song doesn't entice me to even watch for free on YouTube.

I'll be the first to admit that I was wrong. Tidal is a flop and I don't even think a Jay-Z Beyoncé exclusive album can save it.

Jay made the mistake of rereleasing a pre existing service. Thinking that the only thing that was wrong with it is that it lacked marketing dollars. When in reality it was a subpar service and didn't really bring anything worthwhile to the table.

The major flaw is that there's no free option like spotify ....why would ppl pay for a streaming service if they can use spotify for free? Also if they try to play hard ball and force ppl to use it by making their content "exclusive" to tidal then the fans will just resent it and pirate it ...a person who is cogniscent of lossless compression HQ audio is the same person who knows how to pirate and the average person doesn't give a shyt enough to pay for it ..,,the public has already made their decision n it's clearly spotify/an app like it
