Why would someone compare Biggie and Wayne? Wayne is Biggie's son. Biggie taught Jay-Z, who taught Weezy. So, grandson actually. Biggie gave them a style. There would be no Wayne without Biggie. Biggie is a pioneer. PLUS Wayne could never tell a story as masterful lBiggie did. Years later, around 2004/05 Wayne found his own style, which is a great one when he is inspired, but a mess when he overdosed his daily drugs. Biggie was cool, calm and controlled. He would write (in his head) intricate stories and boasts and punchlines. He took his time with it. They are two completely different rappers.

thats cool atleast you aint all bytchin like the rest of these lame nikkas

but why tho? biggie was nowher near as deep as tupac

he wasnt nowhere near him as far as a personality, image, MESSAGE, etc..

Personality, image and message definitely go to Pac. Rhyming goes to Big.

And Big was deep - just not on a socio political bent. Look at how intricate a song like Ni**az bleed is? That's not the work of a shallow thinker.

A good point that people brought up was that Biggie came out the gate SMOKING, and he was only getting better before he died. You cant say the same about alot of other rappers. Even 2pac. Imagine if Pac died right after S4MN or Jay died after Vol.1 :usure:

Biggie had natural star power, he didnt even need to work on it throughout his career and sharpen his skills, like so many other rappers had to.

Pac died after his best album - 7 day theory.

A few things.

BIG is over rated, but it's not his fault. He died.

The praise that Pac gets is IMO more deserved, even if his death made him over rated too. I watched him from "Same Song" through to his death, so maybe I'm biased, I dunno. It's easier to gauge someone's legacy if they're around a few years than someone that drops 2 albums and dies. I'm just keeping it real.

Not taking anything away from BIG. He's still a legend. But on a scale of 1-10 instead of being a 10 he's a 15 because he died. That shyt put him way over the top.

As far as Wayne, the argument would have more traction if Wayne died around the time "C3" dropped. I thought the album was wack but it sold well and was mostly well received. It would've been a nice cap to his career.

But he didn't die, and he's grown increasingly wack. Horrifically wack. :whoo:

So nah. He missed his window by a few years.

Fred.

well when we talkin greatest we gotta include everything
biggie never made any songs like pac if he did not alot
Pac can have a whole album of just positive messages nothing else
biggie cant do that

TI, Wayne,Kendrick Lamar(already yep),Kanye West all better than Biggie and they not even from his generation

Pac was more multi faceted in terms of subject matter. Big's weakness was he didn't do socio political content (at least not as overt as Pac could).

TI and Kanye aren't on Bigs level for different reasons. Kendrick hasn't been around long enough.

I agree to the fullest, Wayne has done everything B.I.G. has done and done it better. However it's unfair in one way cuz Biggie laid the way for rappers like Jay and Wayne to surpass him, if we never had Biggie we would never had Weezy :manny:

It's like saying Nas >>> Rakim which is true but if Rakim never laid the way from that wack rap in the 80's Nas and ALOT of other niccas would've still rapped like Dougie Fresh :scusthov:

See it's natural for the next generation to be better than the last but We still need to recognize the :flabbynsick: :salute:

Wayne hasn't done anything Big did even half as well as Big did.

fukk The Booth
There have been some embarrassing threads in this booth lately.
Classic example of little nikkas not knowing shyt about rap...
This is what people see when they visit this site. I'm pretty sure we've lost a lot of potential posters :snoop:
This is why I ignore this section of the forum for the most part
This is a pathetic attention seeking thread.

Yup.

This whole thread is of Inception:leostare: like quality of trolling.

Anybody that says anyone of Wayne's album is in their top 5 over Ready to Die is on that Breaking Bad Blue Meth.
